I saw Dr. Cavanaugh many years ago about a concerning skin spot and then over the holidays he helped me on very short notice when I had a really bad outbreak of hives and skin issues. He was able to call in medications to the only pharmacy that was open and stayed in touch with me to make sure I was feeling better. Terrific bedside manner and expertise. Highly recommend him!

I originally came to Dr. Cavanaugh with severe perioral dermatitis and hormonal acne. Dr. Cavanaugh has provided me with lots of knowledge about my condition and was very thoughtful with my treatment plan. My skin has never been more clear and it's truly thanks to him. I highly recommend Dr. Cavanaugh's practice.

Dr Cavanaugh is the best dermatologist i've ever seen, and i've seen a lot. He's very thorough and goes above and beyond for you. I had an issue with getting a medication covered by my insurance, and he filed an appeal and got it approved without me having to do anything. as long as i live in Chicago, I will never go to anyone else. Hell, if i move, it would be worth the cost of the flight to continue being his patient.

Dr. Cavanaugh is the best of the best. Saw him at RUSH Dermatology for removal of wart on forehead with exceptional results. Went for total body skin cancer screening recently and was treated with great dignity and respect. He was also compassionate and concerned about a gout condition in my Great toe. He offered to call me meds but decided that I should call my PCP at RUSH. Both visits I had excellent rapport with him and felt extremely comfortable and cared for. I highly recommend him for any Comestic or Dermatologic need.

I can’t say enough positive things about Dr. Cavanaugh and his office. After picking up a nasty rash in South Africa I saw 3 different doctors once home in the US. Two misdiagnosed the problem and one prescribed the wrong medication. One month later the uncomfortable rash was still spreading. I called Dr. Cavanaugh’s office and they kindly squeezed me in for an appointment that same day. After a thorough examination and questioning he told me exactly what I had and why the previously prescribed medications weren’t working. He prescribed the proper medication and 10 days later I am rash free and comfortable once again. Thank you!!!

I went to see Dr. Cavanaugh at Rush Dermatology and I was very satisfied with the visit! He was polite, attentive, and informative. This was my first appointment with a Dermatologist and it was a welcoming experience.
