Dr Orton

This rating is about Dr. Orton's STAFF--NOT Dr. Orton. My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Orton's for over 30 years now and we really like him. He's a wonderful, knowledgeable, personable physician! We rate him at a 5!! HOWEVER, the staff at his office need to LEARN that patients and their needs COME FIRST. The last two times I have been there, I've had the unfortunate experience of encountering the same receptionist at the CHEKOUT DESK. The first time, as I stood there--waiting to check out and make a co-pay--she was chatting away with two other women about her house and what was going in it. I don't know if it was a new house or just her first house, but she was chatting about it, completely ignoring the fact that I was standing there, waiting to check out. Mind you--I was using a cane and had to prop myself against the wall while waiting for her. FINALLY, one of the women who was talking to this receptionist motioned for me to come ahead to the counter. When I went forward to pay, there was no forthcoming apology from the receptionist. The second time I encountered this employee, she stopped the nurse who had come out to take me back to the Exam Room and asked the nurse about something on her (the receptionist's) face. She wanted to know if something "was noticeable". The nurse STOPPED to converse with her about it instead of taking me back to the Exam Room right away. I blame the Nurse for this encounter, also. She should have taken me back to the Exam Room first, as I had been waiting for awhile--this time, I had a walker. It occurs to me that there is a lot of employee turnover at this practice (except for the Checkout Receptionist), and many of those employees COULD NOT CARE LESS about patients! They are so UNLIKE Dr. Orton. They need to learn common manners and respect for the patient. A smile wouldn't hurt either!

Dr. Orton is one of the brightest specialists we have ever encountered. He treats our entire family and most of our friends. He can diagnose most skin issues by just looking at them and when he does biopsy them, they always come back exactly what he said they were. He is just the best!

Dr Orton is extremely knowledgeable and has respect for his patients.

I drive an hour out of my way to go see Dr. Orton for my annual dermatological exams. He’s the best dermatologist I’ve found in the greater Denver area.

Dr Orton is very skilled and personable. I always know I am in great hands with him.

Dr. Orion missed several skin cancer spots on my body during a body scan check. I had to point them out to him! Not good

This practice took two weeks and 8 phone calls for a maintenance medication refill that I ended up having to get online. They only cared when I threatened to leave. Go elsewhere.
