Doctors Dermatology at Brownsville

Came in for rosacea and hormonal acne flare-ups. Doctor barely looked at my skin, said it "looked good," and told me to keep doing what I’m doing. No close exam, no new options, and I left feeling dismissed.

Dr. Afzal is knowledgable and has great bedside manners. He is very straight forward and to the point. Dr. Afzal took the time to thoroughly explain my questions and concerns during my appointment. Things at this clinic move quickly, no long waits. Environment is very clean and staff is friendly and helpful. Thank you Dr. Afzal!

Very nice new office and friendly staff. Referred here because my daughter has been suffering from a rash for months. I asked for a culture test and he said it wasnt recommended and preferred to prescribe creams. I asked Dr. so what if it goes away and comes back in a few months and he just said to visit him again - so basically wanting to claim insurance. After the third visit I just got a referral to another dermatologist who performed culture test when we asked at first visit. Daughter is doing much better after this new Dr. prescribed a different medication. Best of all we know exactly what it is now so we can proceed with the necessary measures. Oh and by the way we are still getting prescribed the medication from this office every week, thats crazy!

Doc took his time with me, and in the same visit, removed a painful subcorneal pustule on the ball of my foot that was really affecting my quality of life as it made it very difficult to walk. He sent it to get tested and had a prompt follow up with the lab results confirming it wasn’t cancerous. Now I’m back to regularly walking my dogs. Thanks Doc, my dogs and myself really appreciate you.

I am very thankful to the staff at Doctor's Dermatology in Brownsville! I had a skin cancer scare, and the staff was very kind and patient. They helped me get a biopsy on the very same day and gave me the results promptly. The staff was very kind, and the doctor and nurse practitioner were very knowledgeable. Thank you, again!

Truly a great experience! Everything went better than expected.

Our appointment was at 9, but we ended up waiting almost an hour 30 minutes. Their scheduling is poorly managed, and they really need to improve their time management and respect patients’ time.
