Graves Gilbert Clinic- Hartland

I had originally shared a positive review as my experience with the dermatologist was positive. I have since decided to change my overall review. I have received two surprise bills for an astronomical amount of money. I am self-pay, uninsured. I paid 195 at the time of my appointment. I thought that would cover what minimal request I had of the dermatologist. During my appointment I had one mole removed that had no issues or concerns, Two cherry angiomas removed with no concerns, and three small skin tags frozen off. I was never told that each of these would cost additional money. The total bill was over $600 that I was surprised with weeks later. Having three small skin tags removed cost 300. Had I known this, I would have opted not to have them removed. Again, I am uninsured. Since there was no concerns about any spots on my body nor the mole or cherry angioma that was removed, I had no expectation of there being any additional lab fees. To my surprise, I received a separate bill just today that included lab fees from where apparently something was sent off without my permission. Costing over $300. I myself am in the medical profession, and I am very aware of billing and coding and find this experience absolutely shocking and appalling. A single dermatology appointment should not cost almost $900 to someone who is uninsured, or anyone for that matter. I’ve had similar removals done at other dermatologist office and have never been surprised with this kind of a bill. I will not be going back. Extremely disappointed and feel very mislead and taken advantage of.

I absolutely love my son's doctor, but if you if you call needing help with a prescription, or anything it is impossible to get anyone on the phone. I have been calling for about three weeks now, and left multiple voice mails without a call back. Good luck!

WARNING!!!! My husband went to a dermatologist at GG. Our insurance was in network HOWEVER they sent his labs out of network without our knowledge or prior authorization. We are now stuck with a $345 bill that insurance won’t cover of course. Had we known this we would have gone elsewhere. Maybe that’s why we weren’t informed!! Wanted to warn others to keep this from happening to them!

I've been a patient there for a few years, and they have always provided excellent service in my view. They are doing what they can to aid and help me with my issues. Dr. Gilbert and Dr. Lumbang as well as their staff are doing a very good job in my humble opinion.

I legit do not care what any of these reviews say. I love coming here every other week! The girls are always very welcoming and I have not had a single bad nurse. They help me understand my medication, are always very encouraging, and extremely knowledgeable. Dr. Rachel Perkins has been a lifesaver in helping me to control my prurigo nodularis, which many healthcare providers are not familiar with. I am so thankful for them. I was able to get my life back! I look forward to seeing them every other week for sure.

If I could rate them a zero I certainly would, solely based on the lack of concern or professionalism in regard to following up with potential patients. On three occasions messages were left about scheduling an appointment. My son contacted them twice and I tried several days after. Here we are two weeks later and neither of us have received a call back from their office.

Arrived 15 minutes early as asked. Appointment was at 9:20, still waiting at 9:53. If YOU are 10 minutes late, they no-show you. Time should be respected MUTUALLY!!! I’m busy too! Spent another 30 minutes yesterday pre-registering. They STILL asked me for all my info saying, "the system doesn’t always pull it over". This place is a joke. Time wasted I could have been doing other things. Not happy
