UCHealth Dermatology Clinic - Anschutz Medical Campus

I have the misfortune of Anschutz being seemingly the only dermatologist that will take my insurance. Switched from having a human answer the phone to having a very slow and unintelligent automated system answer the phone. When you do eventually get someone on the phone, they are in a call center far away. There is no number to call to actually reach the dermatology office. I have had a different, referring dermatology office fax my information to Aschutz now three times. I have the fax confirmation on each one. Anschutz has a seperate office that recieves the referrals. Somewhere in between, they are losing it every time. They are totally unhelpful and completely useless. Due to HIPAA (which was clearly designed to infuriate patients and diminish quality of care), referral information can only be faxed or sent in the literal mail. So this is a rant about both Anschutz and HIPAA.

This is by far the worst dermatology office I have ever visited. If you are looking for real help, go somewhere else. The staff is rude, unhelpful, and shows no respect for patients’ time — especially for those traveling from far away. II had two appointments scheduled. The first time, I was 15 minutes late (which I completely understand was my fault), and they refused to see me. They rescheduled me again so I drove over an hour to get there — only to find out they had canceled my appointment without any notice at all. No call, no text, nothing.

These experiences cut across the various disorders in the study and they cut across the various services" If you have been told the answer to the problem you have no excuse for failure.

I have been going to UCHealth for many years and unfortunately for many different health reasons. I honestly can say that I never had a negative experience. All the providers and staff are very best at what they do. If I have a choice, I will always use their health care services first before I go anywhere else.

I’ve been here a number of times and the care provided is top notch. The receptionist is fast, accurate, and friendly during check-in. The technicians, nurses, and doctors that I have seen have always been courteous, thorough, knowledgeable, and take their time to get the background details before an examination or procedure. They always answer any questions that I may have and explain my treatment options very well. I have never had a concern with my experiences with this office. I would recommend this office and will return as needed in the future.

I originally picked this place for maybe reasons and when my referral was sent in I knew the wait time to get in was going to take a while and I was okay with it. I had scheduled my appointment in this past July when my referral went in and the earliest I could get in was February. I was on the wait list too. Today weeks before my appointment was supposed to happen a nurse called me and told me that she needed to cancel my appointment and reschedule me with a different provider that could actually take care of what I was needing to see them for. The person that I had been scheduled with since July apparently couldn't help me and no one told me that until now. The next best option was to go in at the end of March. I told the nurse that I can't do that and this clinic messed up already in a big way and that's too long of a wait for me especially since I have waited this long. She couldn't schedule me for anytime sooner than end of March. She also really didn't see the issue of how messed up this clinic screwed me over with getting seen. She scheduled me for end of March. And told me that she put me on the waiting list for this one provider. I checked after we hung up and she didn't even book that appointment correctly. She didn't list my provider and didn't put me on the waiting list. I found a new office to go to and got scheduled with a different clinic so I can actually be seen sooner and this clinic left a terrible impression on me.
