Joy B. Chastain, M.D., F.A.A.D.

I was sad to read the average reviews of Dr Chastain. Although I have been out of state for the last 3 years previously I was a patient for 7 years. I returned to Athens in December of 2025 and the first thing I will do is make an appointment with Dr Chastain. Her staff always listened and was prepared to answer any questions

My husband was seen today by Carla Jones and her nurse, Katherine. My husband uses a wheelchair, and, as soon as Katherine noticed that, she came right out into the waiting room to take him into the examining room and then out again after the visit. Carla examined and addressed every issue and concern, and they each followed with additional information and instructions for care. They were wonderful and appreciated!

Great care and wonderful personality. We have been going to Dr. Chastain for many years.

Such an awesome place to go! The Doctor and staff are amazing. The front desk ladies are always so kind and welcoming, making every visit a pleasant experience. The back office team took the time to explain everything thoroughly, which kept me at ease throughout my appointment. Their professionalism and care truly stands out.

Recently had a frustrating situation that the Doctor and team handled gracefully and with kindness. My boys are both patients here and the medical staff are kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and do a great job getting to the root of the issue. I appreciate them working through the issue we had and doing so with grace. I appreciate, even more, that the medical team is thorough and made my boys feel comfortable. Definitely recommend their office and if you ever have a concern, they are honest and helpful!

I whole heartedly recommend Dr. Chastain to anybody in need. Every single staff member has always treated me with kindness and compassion. I suffer from a horrible and very painful condition. Thanks to Dr. Chastain's treatment, I am now in my 6th year of remission. The doctor and her associates gave me my quality of life back. I cannot express how much that means to me.

I absolutely adore Dr. Joy Chastain and all of her very friendly staff. I felt very welcomed as soon as I walked through the door! If you are wanting a place for all your dermatology needs and aesthetics, this practice is for you!!! Couldn’t recommend enough.
