How hard it is to schedule an appointment, First try online schedule appointment everything great. The insurance covers they work with my insurance no problem and then receive a message. Say the doctor don’t accept my insurance specific. So I tried to call multiple times extremely hard to connect with someone there. Give me help see what doctor is available. How can reschedule? Seems like a scam. Don’t recommend at all. The patient has the pass for all these trouble. It’s not worth the time.
Dr. Bloom was very short, disinterested, looked at my face for about 3 seconds, didn’t ask any questions other than how long have I been dealing with the issue, assumed all my previous doctors were male, I had to ask for him to actually take a thorough look at my face and he just pulled out a magnifying glass for 5 seconds. Now that I think of it he never even said hello just was very short and rude and said I’m Dr.Bloom sir over there (which I don’t see the problem with where I was sitting). He only asked if I drank milk, didn’t ask any other questions to try and figure out what the problem was. Pulled out a paper with a list of Amazon products with no explanation from him of what they will do for me and said go get these and I’m sending some other stuff to the pharmacy. The whole appointment was less than 5 minutes. He didn’t seem like he wanted to be there treating patients at all. The receptionist was nice but that’s the only positive thing I have to say for this practice. I will not return and I don’t trust the health of my skin with anyone who is this.
DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU ARE WHITE. RUDE STAFF AND DR TALKS TO YOU WITH HIS BACK TURNED, NO EYE CONTACT OR COMPASSION AT ALL. I would give this place 0 stars. I had called a month in advance to make an appointment with a referral. The lady on the phone scheduled me for an appointment. On the day of the appointment, she said that there was no appt with my name and I told her that I spoke a month ago and had it on my calendar. The asian lady with glasses was rude and racist. She told me to fill out forms on the tablet and to sit down. After waiting almost 50 minutes, I arrived at 10AM, I asked how much longer I needed to wait. She said soon. And told her coworker "I told her to wait until 11:40AM" even though she didn't tell me. I immediately got up and said, she didn't tell me I had to want until 11:40 and front desk asian lady with glasses stayed quiet. She was discriminating me based on my racial profile and with the white patients she would be laughing and attending them. Dr. Bloom introduced himself and was talking to us with his back facing us. Not professional at all. He said I would need a shot but didn't explain the process until we had to sign a waiver for procedure to be done. I said I will not sign until my questions were answered.
Dr. Bloom is older so he is set in his ways. However, nothing he did to me was offensive or rude or I wouldn’t have returned. I even recently just took my teenage daughter to his office. He listened to my concerns and makes it his concern. The staff were polite. That is so important to me along with good care. I cannot tolerate rude people at all. When they’re getting paid to do a job. Some people prefer long appointments. Me I like to get straight to the point as I suffer from anxiety. So I appreciate that as well. In and out. The only thing I wish would change is the insurance would cover the things that are recommend off Amazon. Because it can be difficult to get if you are like myself, not working. However the medication, Dr. Bloom prescribed that was covered helped me and my daughter tremendously. Thank you Dr. Bloom and staff🎗️
I booked my appt 24 hours prior and met Dr. Bloom, I expressed my concerns he listened and treated me for my painful keloid scars and discussed further treatment options with me. everyone in the office was friendly, and gave me skin goodies before I left. the staff made it quick and easy. I believe I was in, treated, and out within 40 minutes of my appt time.
I went to Dr. Bloom for sudden, extreme hair loss that I’ve been experiencing over the last two months. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing and unhelpful. I arrived on time for my appointment but had to wait 45 minutes before being seen. When Dr. Bloom finally came in, he spent less than three minutes speaking with me. His first question was, "Hair loss, huh? What’s your theory?" If I knew what was happening, I wouldn’t be seeing a doctor in the first place. I came prepared with photos, my medical history, and concerns, including scalp redness and inflammation. Dr. Bloom did not examine my scalp at all. He didn’t touch or even look closely at the affected areas. The only thing he did was glance at a few strands of shed hair under a microscope without explaining what he saw. Instead of thoroughly assessing my condition, he asked me if I knew about "Amazon.com" and what my job was, which was completely irrelevant to my medical concerns. Then, he casually suggested I buy saw palmetto oil and minoxidil but didn’t explain how to use them or whether they were appropriate for my specific case. The oil he recommended seems very shady, as I later found discrepancies between the ingredients listed on the packaging and the box. When I asked about possible causes, he said he doesn’t know but that it doesn’t seem hormonal based on bloodwork I had three months ago, even though my hair loss started two months ago. I specifically asked him for a bloodwork panel, and he dismissed it, saying, "That’s not important." I also mentioned a mishap where a hairdresser left color in my hair for too long, but he didn’t comment on whether that could be a factor. Instead, he referred me to another specialist with a four-month waiting list while I’m already developing bald spots. I left feeling unheard, dismissed, and deeply frustrated. Dr. Bloom was rude, unprofessional, and uninterested in genuinely helping me. He barely listened, let alone performed a thorough evaluation. I regret wasting my time and money on this visit, and I do not recommend this doctor to anyone seeking real answers or compassionate care.
Dr. Bloom was very helpful and polite. I recommend him to anyone seeking clinical advice, professionalism and integrity. He recommended exactly what I needed, and not what I thought I wanted. Thank you Dr. Bloom.
