Dr. Duraid Sahawneh

Considering I had a dentist in my immediate family for over 20 years, I can safely say I agree with several of the negative remarks I’ve read about this office. I visited on 10/17/25 with a Healthfirst Insurance Plan, which I had verified both prior to booking and again before my appointment. I was informed that my plan covered X-rays, extractions, two annual cleanings, crowns, and fillings. I haven’t been to the dentist in almost three years and have recently been experiencing significant pain in my upper gums near my molars. My goal was to have a basic cleaning and an evaluation of that area. After X-rays were taken (which was fine), I was abruptly told I’d need a "deep cleaning" costing over $800 out-of-pocket. When I asked whether my policy covered basic cleanings—as previously confirmed—I was told it did, but that they would not be performing one. I find it highly unprofessional to take X-rays without any follow-through, especially knowing the patient hasn’t been seen in years and came in for preventative care. The remark made to me that I "don’t have insurance, I have a plan" was also unnecessary and, frankly, borderline discriminatory toward those with certain types of coverage. To add to that, being told that my prior extractions weren’t done with my insurance (which they absolutely were) was inappropriate and inaccurate. Overall, the experience felt dismissive and focused more on upselling than on patient care. I left without receiving even the basic cleaning I came in for.

Dr. Sahawneh is the best dentist by a mile. I’ve been coming to his office for the past year and he is an outstanding professional, but an even better human being. He cares about his patients on a level I haven’t experienced before, not to mention, he makes you super comfortable before he begins working on your teeth. Additionally, his office staff is also the best, makes you laugh, keeps you comfortable, and in a way, makes you look forward to your visits. I’m extremely grateful to Dr. Sahawneh, in getting my teeth back on track. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for dental work. Thank you!

Refused to see me because I had recently been to the dentist 10 days . I was told they wasn't sure they would get paid with Fidelis care... Told them I would call, but they still refused service. Everytime I use Fidelis the dentist office somehow finds away to refuse service, you cant even use a normal tone cause they will refuse service with the excuse that you were rude or disruptive.

Very honest, efficient dentist. Staff is amazing makes you feel very comfortable. Being a new patient here I feel I was taken care of very well, worked with my hectic schedule to help me resolve any dental needs I had in a timely manner! Explains everything in detail and why certain treatments may be needed but very conservative with dental work no nonsense or unnecessary extra treatment. Very happy with my new dental care so far! Dr. Duraid Sahawneh and his staff are genuinely kind and very professional. I’ve had my dental needs met here for years and recommend him to everyone I know. I moved out of the area and have no plans on searching for another dental office. Thank you for consistently providing great service!

Dr. Sahawneh is the best! I’ve been coming to him for so many years now. He really cares about his patients and takes his time with your appointment. I’ll never forget when I was graduating college and he threw in an extra deep cleaning (which my ins at the time didn’t cover) as a gift because he was proud of me. He’s a great dentist, and also a great person! I wouldn’t go to anyone else.
