By far, Yakima's WORST dental care...be cautious about going here. We were cared for by Dr. Borchert before this was bought out, but I recently had a cleaning done and my husband had a crown done by the new dentist. The crown was measured wrong TWICE and he had to go back to get it measured again, and after placement the crown completely fell off the implant. When asked about what their policy is on repairs or refunds for out of pocket expenses, they never called back. Even if they offered to fix it, we don't trust their care anyway and had to find another dentist. We paid a ton of money out of pocket and they did not offer anything to rectify it. The oral surgeon who did the implant even said the work done was "questionable" and the tooth would likely grind and scratch the other areas of the gums due to being improperly measured, likely why it fell off in the first place. My husband may even need a incision type surgery as the gum has started to grow over the implant in less than a week and to do another crown it wont fit now. The cleaning I had took 12 minutes total from when I arrived and when I left, and when I said it was hurting a bit...he said "Youre fine." Bedside manner was really unprofessional and very uncomfortable. The front desk staff was very kind though, and they do ask for all funds up front which was fine, but the dental care services there were so VERY poor. The absolute worst in all my years of care I have received. I highly recommend you do not go here, as it has been horrible since the start. We are out 2k plus and likely more as we will have to pay to fix their mistakes. Find somewhere more reputable to go, I promise I'm not being cruel, I'm just hoping no one else goes through this situation.
Staff was totally professional. The dentist was very compassionate and feeling towards my needs he performed total professional procedures and completed with no pain. I am going to express my experience on Facebook today to let the other people on Facebook what a great job they did
This dental team is much smaller than it was before summer 2024, when Dr. Borchert owned the practice, but the staff is friendly and attentive. Dr. Eljak is knowledgeable and informative. He described my dental care needs, sharing images of my teeth and x-rays, and he was open and honest about the degree of risk in postponing dental work, if I so choose, which allows me to make decisions about if and when work will be done. I only had a cleaning, x-rays and check-up, so I can only review these procedures, but he was gentle, caring, knowledgeable, and a very nice person. The reception manager provided all information on insurance coverage and out-of-pocket costs for this and potential future work, which allows me to plan for additional dental work on my own schedule and budget. I was very satisfied with the service.
My appointment was on time. The hygienist was very nice and explained procedures. The Dentist came in and did the cleaning and an exam, was very nice and kind. Showed me X-rays and explained what was going on with a tooth, what to watch for and care of teeth.
Dr. Borchert and his staff are all very friendly, kind and the atmosphere of the office is very welcoming. I've had nothing but Excellent service. Samantha at the front always welcomes you with a smile and is quick for check-ins. All the ladies make the experience enjoyable and are gentle with the cleanings. The Dr is great at what he does and is always available to make things work. I've been going to their office for about 3 years or so and I always leave happy and satisfied with any work done. I am not sure who does the billing here but I have to say they are quick with the billing which I like. I get monthly statements and when I call with questions Samantha is of so much help! I recently got all of my fillings redone and was always able to go in during my lunch hour. Nonetheless I am VERY satisfied with the office, staff and work. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for a good dentist.
I’m not a patient but my mother is and she asked I leave a review for her because she doesn’t know how to use the internet well ! She wanted me to say this place treated her like a number rather than a person and the Dentist was very cold and when she had questions as to what is going to happen after she gets an extraction because she currently has a partial she just wanted to know what would be the next step as far as replacing it or adding a tooth but nothing was explained to her and when she tried to ask the dental assistant she just ignored her and said I’ll ask the dr but still nothing was communicated she even asked for post op instructions and the assistant just ignored her about that also . . She feels like she was just thrown in the dark for her dental care like she is suppose to know what is the next step when no one is giving her a straight answer . Overall she was very offended and not satisfied by the care she received . please do better if you want to keep this practice open longer than this uear . Thankfully we were able to get her into an office that truly cares about her dental health
This appointment resulted in some of the worst dental pain I have ever experienced for a week. The new dentist is irresponsibly unskilled. I went in for a tooth ache, he diagnosed it by hitting my tooth with a metal handle to ensure it hurt! He then gave me a root canal, which turns out I didn't need, and didn't help. A second opinion prescribed me antibiotics which resolved the issue within a couple of days. AVOID at all costs, do not take your family here.
