TERRIBLE OFFICE!! First off, if I could give not star I would. When I called to schedule the appointment I scheduled for an exam, xrays and cleaning, which is covered by my insurance as routine twice a year. I was under the impression that I was speaking with the office but found out later my appointment was scheduled through a call center (Who asked for my SS# over the phone!) When I got my exam I was told that I needed a full peridontal cleaning which they could do today and would cost me $400 out of pocket. I told them to just do a routine cleaning and I will think about the deeper expensive. cleaning. They then tell me that my appointment was only for the exam and I would have to reschedule to get my routine cleaning!! Yet, they could do a full expensive cleaning now. I left after the appointment and called my insurance company who said that they are contracted to perform the routine exam and cleaning. I called the office back and they apologized and told me that I could come back in later in the day for a second appointment. I agreed. I then get a call and they told me that they could'nt do the routine cleaning without first having the full peridontal cleaning, WHICH IS ABSURD!! I felt totally scammed! by their whole process. DON'T go to this office unless you want to pay alot of extra money!!

So my gripe is mostly with the Orthodontist scheduling and teams lack of care/communication. The last time I was seen was Dec. 18th where I was told the next appointment would be getting the braces removed and a retainer. They told me they don’t have any availability in January and that they’d call me back THAT day once they found out about the Orthodontists availability. After not hearing from them for a couple of days I had to call back and schedule an appointment. I was given a date of Jan. 29th 2026. On Jan. 26th they reached out to reschedule my appointment for 12th of February 2026. I asked if I could be in sooner than the 12th as I had a wedding on the 7th of Feb. That I would have loved to have my braces off for, I even offered to travel around 2 hours away to their other office location in Springville. A day later on the 27th is the last communication I received from them about an appointment. I am a patient person so I didn’t push anything. On the 28th I received a text confirming my original date for the appointment but an hour later. So naturally I thought they’d figured it out and were able to accommodate me on that date. Imagine my surprise when I show up and the staff is looking surprised that I am even there. I show them the confirmation text and they pretty much shrug their shoulders and say, "oh sorry." That they would try and get into contact with the Ortho and see if I can get in, in Spanishfork before the 12th. Radio silence again. If they couldn’t accommodate me I would have rather been told right away and scheduled for the 12th. I just called back today realizing AGAIN I haven’t heard from them at all. I am a busy mom, work full time and have three kiddos to keep up with and a wedding to prepare for so scheduling an ortho isn’t exactly at the forefront of my mind. Now, after all that run around I am forced to schedule an appointment on the Feb. 26th 2026. Which is WAY over 2 months since I last saw them. I have a broken bracket, wire missing and this Ortho team could careless. So at this point once the braces are off and I have my retainer I will be looking for other places for future dental work.

2 stars because the assistants were sweet. I just moved to this city and this was the nearest dentist to us, I thought I’d give it a shot. Honestly, If you don’t know how to work with kids please let it be known. The dental hygienist we had this past Tuesday was rude. Yes, my daughter was nervous and crying. However, the hygienist insisted we put her to sleep and irritably had the worst attitude. He had no other options then to instantly "we can put her down I won’t work with her" he didn’t even want to discuss anything afterward he just irritably walked away. No "bye" so ridiculous. Thank you to the assistants for their kindness and trying their best. We appreciated that small portion of the appointment.

Best dental experience of my life. And I've had my share. Lori was fantastic. made me feel relaxed and appreciated as I walked in. Dr. Hicks is great, down to earth and a respectful listener, and skilled. I recommend Platinum and especially Dr. Hicks highly. Finally found my dentist for life.

My husband and I have been patients at Platinum Dental for a few years now but today my 2 year old daughter also became a patient! The staff was WONDERFUL with my daughter and made her feel so comforter! The visit went amazing and I know my daughter is not going to have a fear of the dentist now and can’t wait to come back! We have always been treated with kindness and empathy here and I would recommend this team to anyone! Thank you guys so much for taking care of our whole family!

I want to start off by saying dr hicks is great. However, the orthodontic team is the absolute worst. Parker haycock the "orthodontist" has TERRIBLE bedside manner. I initially had a consult with him and he asked me why I want orthodontic services. I stated I don’t like my teeth and he said "I don’t like your teeth either". That was a red flag I ignored. I unfortunately still went through with the treatments with this condescending prick. I always dreaded appointments with him. Fast forward towards the end of my treatment, when one of my front teeth just weren’t cooperating. He gave me the option of getting braces on the top OR a silver dot on that one tooth. I personally do not like the look of a random dot on my tooth and chose the other option, since I might as well go all out for the braces look instead of having it look like there’s something on my tooth. When I said I wanted the top braces, Parker and the trashy assistant with the botched tattoo laughed and asked me why. I said the dot would look silly, and Parker said, "oh but your tooth doesn’t look silly?". He is so rude and unprofessional! I felt like they bullied me into getting the option I did not want, and Parker later had the audacity to say, "you’re mad, aren’t you?" Repeatedly, trying to provoke me. If I was going to get so much pushback, why even offer me a choice in the first place? Anyways, we scheduled another appointment to get those in.. on the day of that appointment, 20 MINUTES before the appointment they had called me to tell me they need to reschedule, as the trays haven’t arrived.. had I try to reschedule my appointment 20 minutes prior I would’ve been charged a fee! Not to mention I worked my entire schedule around this appointment. It was the most frustrating experience ever! Do not go here for orthodontic services!! Parker and his team are the worst!!!!!

Love the people that work here! Always have a good time and get great cleanings! Very attentive and genuinely care about their patients. Thank you!
