Today, I visited Dental Care of Walnut Creek to have my broken molar repaired. From the moment I arrived, I was quite nervous, but Dr. Yi’s warm and gentle manner immediately put me at ease. His kindness and professionalism made me feel completely safe and relaxed throughout the entire procedure. I’m truly grateful for his care and compassion. Nurse Lily was also wonderfully friendly and courteous, which made the whole experience even more pleasant. Everyone, including the receptionist, was professional and welcoming. What an outstanding team and exceptional service! Respectfully, Sean D
I have never written a critical review of a dentist before, but my experience at Dental Care of Walnut Creek was so disappointing that I feel I should warn others. This practice misinforms patients about treatment options and seems primarily concerned with bringing in as much revenue as possible. Dr. Greenfield failed to detect decay in one molar, then found decay under another crown. The only option he presented was extraction of the tooth and replacement with an implant. I consulted my previous, long-time dentist who contradicted Greenfield, repaired the decay, and replaced the crown. No extraction was necessary. I would characterize the treatment I received at Dental Care of Walnut Creek as negligent, misinformed, and amateurish.
Terrible experience with Dental Care of Walnut Creek. I arrived 13 minutes early for my 10:00 am exam and cleaning appointment, but despite checking in, six other patients who came after me were seen before me. By 10:10 am, I asked if I had been checked in since I had another appointment with my orthodontist in San Francisco at noon. Their response was simply, "when the hygienist is available, they’ll take you." Eventually, a dental assistant walked me to a chair and started polishing my teeth, even though polishing normally happens after cleaning. She worked for only 5 minutes and left, she refused to do or send someone for X-ray and exam for my teeth even my last X-ray was 2 years ago and they told me in my last visit that they will do an X-ray for the whole mouth. By 10:35, nobody had come back to clean my teeth, so I asked to speak with Dr. Abdul. After explaining my situation, he rushed through the cleaning himself. They told me the polishing would be done after, but it never happened. My orthodontist even noticed the poor quality of the polish. This delay made me late for my next appointment, and it was incredibly unprofessional. If they don’t have enough hygienists, why schedule so many patients and waste people’s time? I took time off work for this appointment, only to be treated this way. Earlier this year, I also had a billing issue after a routine cleaning and exam. They charged me over $80, insisting I had to pay a copay right then. Later, I checked with my insurance and found out that my responsibility was only $25, and the insurance had covered the rest. When I called them back, they refunded part of the money, If I hadn’t called, they would have just kept my money. Dr. Abdul himself is good, but the front desk staff, assistants, and scheduling team are consistently rude, unprofessional, and disorganized. They cause unnecessary stress, waste your time, and even mishandle billing. After being a patient for almost four years, I can say their service has only gotten worse.
Been quiet a beautiful experience and very warm atmosphere. I especially never did like visiting the Dentist growing up, but However I feel so relaxed when I come in for my appointments for cleaning and for the very first time in 60 years I needed a Crown. Thank you Dr.Greenfield for your excellent work and I've recommended your Dental office to everyone here at Chevron. My wife will now be your new patient.
Needed a tooth cavity treated which was causing infection with pain and swelling. After reviewing XRays, viable treatment options including comprehensive pricing, we decided that extraction was best. Dr Yi walked me through expectations from start to finish. In retrospect, Dr. Yi made the decision much easier and we are extremely pleased with the end result. His communication style and attentiveness are excellent. I highly recommend Dr. Kain Yi for your dental needs.
My doctor, Dr. Greenfield, and my hygienist, Ruth, are the best dental care professionals in the SF/Bay Area, for sure. I trust their care 100%, and the facility is beautiful and comfortable. I love visiting for my regular check-ups.
Everyone at this office from the front staff to the hygienist and dentists is so kind, professional and welcoming. They are always on time and I have had nothing but great experiences here over the last few years. Dr. Abdou is always very pleasant and takes his time. Definitely recommend this office!
