Desert Valley Dental Group and Orthodontics

Today I went in the office for a concern of tooth pain and it was an infection and a tooth absess I was surprised that I needed to get a tooth extracted. I was sad 😔 but Dr. Leong was very nice and answered my husband and I questions. I can tell he care for his patients The Hygienist Juan hidalgo was very nice and answer my questions he deep clean my teeth and took his time. I can tell he care for his patients as well.The front office staff and the back office staff was very nice. I would recommend this dentist office. Very good. I’ve been coming here for my braces and my cleanings. Dr. Jeffery Hwang and the ortho team does great work and I’ve been so happy seeing great improvements with my smile. Got a cleaning from Dr. Noel Baran and she took away my stains like they were never there. Melanie the office manager and all the ladies up front are always super helpful. I used to be scared of the dentist and now I actually look forward to my visits.

Jeffrey and Serge were really friendly and professional. Serge also does really good work and I did not have a problem with him the two times I saw him. The receptionists are also all very friendly. However Kenneth is rude and also aggressively recommended expensive procedures that were not needed + does not explain why the procedures were needed when asked (just repeated himself very condescendingly instead) and I ended up with a missing tooth that I am unable to pay to replace. He would not explain why I had to get all wisdom teeth removed at the same time when only one was bothering me and why I couldn't just come back again if/when the other teeth started bothering me in the future. Whenever I tried to ask him to clarify or explain, he just treated me like I was dumb and repeated himself the exact same way. I initially came in to fill a cavity and chose this place for its high reviews and was told instead that I had to pull all my wisdom teeth (when only one was bothering me at the time) so my insurance covered the cost of all 4 teeth getting pulled and couldn't cover the cost of filling a cavity that year so I had to come back the next year to get it filled but at that point I apparently had to get the tooth pulled instead of filling it and then have to come back yet again to get an implant but I am unable to pay that. All expensive procedures and this office already charges more than other dentists I've been to in the past. Some of these procedures also could have been avoided all together had I not used my insurance to get ALL of my wisdom teeth removed unnecessarily the first year. I still have an empty spot where my tooth was pulled because I cannot pay to replace it but it wouldn't have been pulled in the first place if I was able to get it filled when I initially came in. I would have been able to get that tooth filled had I only pulled one wisdom tooth, if I had not been forced to get all my wisdom teeth pulled at once. The reviews about this place trying to upsell are true. They upsell to make more money at the expense of their patients.

Such a wonderful experience every time I go in for a cleaning. Noel is incredibly kind, gentle, and truly cares about her patients. She makes you feel comfortable and is professional! Highly recommend Noel! She’s amazing!

Definitely will not be going back here, ever. Dentist walked in, didn’t introduce himself at all, and started talking about gum disease. Immediately I thought, "wow, that’s straight to conclusions." He the started telling me about how i needed a deep cleaning with laser, replace a whole crown because it wasn’t sealed, and needed to remove a tooth. It’s mind boggling to me how all of this could be true when the previous appt I had at another dentist didn’t mention any of this to me. Seems to me that this place is just extremely money hungry. Being that the quote came back at $5000+, that may confirm it. I’d stay away unless you have the extra money for unnecessary work.

We came here for the first time. My son needed his wisdom teeth extracted and cleaning. The list of charges they charged the insurance and myself out of pocket was excessive. One of the excessive charges was bone replacement graph. Which was not necessary. They only did the cleaning and I decided to get a second opinion for the wisdom teeth somewhere else. Night and day on the pricing and they are will not be doing additional things like the bone graph. I’m glad I decided not to proceed with Desert Valley Dental. Do your research or get a second opinion before getting anything done here. Elena was helpful and understanding until I started to question the charges and also asked if they can waive the $25 contract fee and refused. Then asked if I wanted to speak to the manager. I said no at this point because of the attitude she gave me. I didn’t want to deal with them anymore.

Just want to thank the entire staff who participated in the "We Serve" event . Everyone working on their own time to serve the community! We greatly appreciate everyone’s generosity. Melanie office manager , Noelle the Hygienist are the best ever. Super nice and courteous and very helpful. Heaven sent. Thank you so much for your service. 🙏 Highly recommend.
