Liberty Smile Center Van Nuys - Implant, Braces, Cosmetic & Oral Surgery

I recently visited Liberty Smile Center and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The office is clean and well-organized, which immediately put me at ease. My Dr. was incredibly professional and took the time to explain every procedure thoroughly. I appreciated their gentle approach during my cleaning and examination; I felt comfortable throughout the entire visit. The team clearly prioritizes patient care and comfort.

Today I had an appointment with the oral surgeon for a consultation. When I showed up I was asked to initial and sign a consent form. As I began reading the consent form I was being asked to sign a legally binding document without being given explanation. For example initialing for "this surgery procedure has been reviewed with me…I have been informed of alternative options…etc." None of which had been done. I asked front desk staff if I would be getting an explanation of any of this, and the response was, "this is just to speed up the process so when you get in there you can get your teeth removed and you can be out quick." I then stated, "It just seems unethical to have me sign a form that agreeing to things that haven’t been completed." Front desk staff stated, "Fine, you don’t have to sign it." Long story short I still wasn’t explained the procedure, and when I made a comment about having wished the procedure was explained to me throughly in the way I overheard another client having explained the oral surgeon stated "well yours is easy, this is more complicated, yours is only like five minutes." Amy understanding of this response was "yours is easy so you don’t deserve the right to any explanation." What is considered easy is subjective and while this surgeon might have explained this procedure a million times before it is within every patient’s right to ask for an explanation once again. It is clear that this facility is overbooking patients on a singular day. This is why they’re trying to streamline the process and skipping over essential legal and ethical procedures. It makes me sad to think that there probably hundreds of individuals who walk in and are asked to sign this form and have no idea what they are signing or why? To think that there are individuals less outspoken than me who might be afraid to advocate for themselves or ask questions that the surgeon/assistants don’t have time to answer. It is my hope that in completing this review the dental practice as a whole restructures their system to maintain and uphold ethical/legal practices. It is also my hope that they discontinue overbooking clients and accommodate the necessary time for patients to receive dedicated and through care. I would have loved to come back here but unfortunately I refuse to continue going to a business that does not accommodate their time efficiently to carefully treat each of their patients. Who would wanna go to a pit stop dentist? Not me. Also, I did think of filing a complaint with the dental board but it is my hope that this issue can be resolved differently.

I recently visited dentistry and had an exceptional experience. The entire team was professional, welcoming, and truly dedicated to providing the best care possible. The clinic itself is modern, clean, and equipped with state-of-the-art technology, which immediately put me at ease. Dr. Farzad Mazloomi is highly skilled, attentive, and took the time to thoroughly explain every step of my treatment plan. They made sure I was comfortable throughout the process, and I genuinely felt cared for as a patient.

Very professional and skilled, top to bottom. Cannot recommend them more highly.The staff is incredibly friendly greeting you as you come in the door. Dr. Mazloomi is knowledgeable and explains everything to you in understandable terms. He took the time fully go over my dental health, and presented several options on how to improve my teeth and all this is done in a professional and positive manner. Definitely would recommend to others!

Dr Johnathan Maddatu is an amazing dentist, everyone in the office is super sweet and welcoming! They took away my fear of dentists and made me feel good about the care of my teeth. He and the nurses are gentle and I have no pain with any of my procedures done! I highly recommend this dentist if you’re looking for a good dentist in the LA area!

I’ve been coming to Dr. Maddatu for many years. He’s a great dentist and the first I’ve made it a point to see regularly! He took care of a few cavities I had (from prior years of not seeing a dentist regularly) and took out my wisdom teeth. All work has been done very efficiently. The office staff and assistants are also friendly and efficient. 10/10!

Fantastic as always. Dr Maddatu is caring as always. I've been coming here for at least 10 years, after retiring I declined dental insurance through Kaiser so I could still see Dr Maddatu and not change to a new dentist. The office staff are great. I have referred friends and neighbors and everyone was very impressed. Highly recommend
