Vacaville Dentistry and Orthodontics has a rating of 4 out of 5 based on over 148 reviews on Google
Although Google’s rating is 5 star, I give Nicke Claus, RDH (hygienist) a 10 out of 10 rating if offered. She explained my deep cleaning procedure each step during the hour long appointment. It was a painless experience. She reduced any anxiety I normally would have experienced. I highly recommend her. Rebecca
After 40 years of seeing the same dentist I wasn’t being treated right , he wouldn’t accept our insurance so I had to always pay out of pocket and basically was not happy ! I was always being referred out or he couldn’t do the work right !! I decided to go to Vacaville Dental as they accepted our insurance and everything was all in house ! It was like night n day difference!! Everyone was so nice n helpful. I saw Dr Carino as my dentist and Alicia was the RDA . They were amazing as I needed a crown and it was all done in one day . This practice I would highly recommend! So happy I decided to change dentists !!
The dentist at this office deserves credit for going the extra mile, but unfortunately, the team managing in front office? Not so professional. I've never encountered an office that seems to lack basic common sense. When I call to update my information, you'd think they would check the existing chart and run the updates through a database to confirm everything is active. But no, it feels like their main goal is just to book as many appointments as possible. People are taking time off work only to be turned away? It’s frustrating, especially since I provided my insurance details and contacts to verify my active membership. Then, when I arrive, I'm told they can't find my information to provide service. This level of neglect is incredibly inconvenient. It’s as if they have no idea how to do their jobs. Scheduling appointments without verifying information beforehand seems to be a metric they’re trying to hit, and it shows. I became a client this year, fast forward to now it’s September. In that time, I’ve experienced three cancellations pretty far apart in scheduling due to personal, then "Mechanical" issues with a machine ( close to 1 month out to be rescheduled) a complete runaround just to be seen. I try to be understanding and patient, but the way the front desk operates is chaotic and very UNPROFESSIONAL. I plan to file a complaint with the Dental Board of California, Based on previous reviews, it seems the staff is the PROBLEM and not so much the dental physicians. That is pretty sad,
This office has left me profoundly irritated. Who knew that it could be so hard to get a dental exam and a cleaning on the same day?? Plus they are obsessed with having a special cleaning done every 4 months (that of course insurance doesn’t pay for) that my prior dentist of 19 years never recommended, and will do absolutely no other regular cleaning until it’s done. So if you want to waste 3 days every 4 months to maintain your oral health knock yourself out, this is the place to go. I chose them because I believed it would be more convenient to have every kind of dental professional in the same office, incorrect assumption.
Horrible appointment policy here!! It’s already hard enough to find a dentist in the area that you feel comfortable with the next step is having to wait months for an appointment. When my son’s appointment finally came up today we were turned around at the door and told his appointment was canceled because we didn’t confirm the appointment through text or email. After calming through all of my texts and realizing their text confirmation system never sent us any confirmation text. And seeing that we did, however, receive a confirmation email two weeks prior to the appointment That never told us confirmation was required in order to keep our appointment we did what millions of Americans do to appointment reminder emails looked over it I’m a 100% service connected disabled veteran and a full-time lost student and my wife is a registered nurse who works overnight in the local hospital emergency room. This was a major inconvenience for us. I asked to speak with someone over the office manager either a regional manager or a practice owner to address my issue and was given the typical runaround of "I don’t have Information on them and they’re out on For the rest of the month" This cancellation policy is not only morally wrong. It’s unethical.!! And it’s a prime example of businesses in 2025 no longer Looking at things from the customers perspective, only the businesses capitalistic profit margin that says we want to see as many patients(paying patients) As possible in a day so that we could build American insurance companies as much as we possibly can to ensure our profit markets are the highest we will be eliminating the possibility of no call no shows by integrating this half ass confirmation system that cancels your loan weighted appointment if you just so happen to miss a phone call!!! This policy, although it may not be intentional is very discriminatory in nature!! What if I didn’t have a phone, what if I don’t have a computer, or an email address I was there in person and made an appointment. Are you telling me that you guys refused to adequately, sir people that don’t have access to a telephone or computer for email? . What about for the elderly who wants so familiar with electronic devices? Like I told the office manager over the phone, they picked the right one. This is sparring practice for a law school student like me. My classmate are not are going to make this our fall final project To affect change and get this unethical, borderline illegal practice, eradicated from the city of Vacaville PS I even explained to the office manager that my child’s mother who has primary care of him, works overnight and sleeps during the day so she will always most likely miss any daytime conversation or phone calls. In which I followed up with, would you help us find a feasible solution to continue to have dental services done at your location with our circumstance being that we’ve paid you thousands of dollars over the years
If I could give them ZERO stars ⭐️ I would ! After waiting months for my son’s appointment today at 10 am. We arrived only to be told that because they called to confirm the appointment and didn’t get an answer they canceled our appointment !!!! My wife and I have very busy schedules, work over night in the local emergency room and are also both full time students . So many schedules have to be synced and adjusted to Make these appointments happen that this has presented a major inconvenience for our entire family unit!!
Great experience! The staff was friendly and the wait time was reasonable. Jas, the RDA, really helped me feel comfortable with her upbeat personality and conversation. Nichole was gentle but thorough with my cleaning, and the dentist took his time and made sure everything was done right. I feel content in making this my primary dental care location.
