Encore Dental of Toms River Affiliated with The Smilist Dental

Upon arrival the staff was friendly and the office was clean. The x -ray tech was polite. My hygienist was amazing! She introduced herself told me what I can expect and explained everything she did . She answered any questions I presented. The doctor was quick, made recommendations and she further explained. Great cleaning, no pain! The ladies in the front was also friendly. Thanks for a great experience!!!

This is my third time going to Encore Dental this time to have my dental Implant fixed. My dentist and his assistant were very professional and easy to talk to. I am not afraid of going to the dentist, but if you are Encore in Toms River is the place for you! They make you feel very comfortable. Thank you Enxore ❤️

I was recommended by a friend. I was very pleased with Encore, I did not have to wait a long time in the waiting room they took me Right in when I arrived. All of there staff were very professional and I felt very comfortable. I have already recommended people that are looking for a good Dentist. That is the dental facility I would recommend to anyone that brings up that they are looking for a good dentist. Glenn.

If I could give this practice negative stars I would. Spare yourself the time, money and frustration and go to another practice. They are a complete disgrace of a practice, from their doctors, office staff and billing department they are an absolute MESS! After coming in for a routine cleaning in May 2024, I was told that I had 4 cavities and needed to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed (at the age of 26)... Mind you, my entire life I have not once been told my wisdom teeth needed removal, and was told quite the opposite that they grew in perfectly. The dentist I saw in one breath said my wisdom teeth came in perfectly straight, and I expressed no pain had been occurring. However, they were pushy and trying to encourage me to have them removed even though they just said they were fine, because "Typically people have them removed" I did not schedule this service and seeked a second opinion. The other dentists I have seen could not locate any cavities, and expressed that my wisdom teeth had grown in perfectly. Unless they were causing pain, there is no reason to remove them. Fast forward to a billing disaster! From the date of service in May 2024, I paid my copay and went on my way. I was mailed a check from the practice several months later with no context. Not realizing that the practice intended ME to mail this check to my insurance as the remaining balance.. Several months to a year of back and forth I returned the check to the practice as they claimed to have settled it with my insurance. I am now here in February of 2026, after working with the office manager and now operations manager for The Smilist, as they put me through to collections for the service I May 2024. Meanwhile, several times over a course of 6 months the office manager ensured me that the balance was covered and she had settled this with the billing department. Just to find out that she had not followed up on her request (after she finally submitted it 4months after we spoke) and I was put through to the debt collections department for $20 THAT I DID NOT OWE, since they had a mischarge. Almost 2 years from the date of service and I have had to go back and forth, and now involve a legal team in order to communicate with this practice. They are an absolute joke and disgrace and I HIGHLY recommend you go elsewhere. They are essentially they Amazon of dental.

I had my first visit with Dr. Rubulotta at ENCORE and couldn’t be happier. From the moment I walked I. The front desk staff was so warm, followed by the dental assistant who was friendly and knowledgeable. She really went out of her way to make me feel comfortable. Dr. Rubulotta took his time explaining all of my X-rays to me and talked about my overall dental health in such a knowledgeable and comprehensive way. The assistant was so sweet and was able to get me in with a hygienist the same day so I wouldn’t have to come back for a cleaning. My hygienist was absolutely amazing. She was so kind and gentle (I have very sensitive teeth and gums) and was also very efficient. Coming from the previous dental practice which was absolutely awful from the office staff to the dentist himself-unprofessional and don’t care about their patients at all, I was apprehensive about what my experience would be at ENCORE. I am so happy to say that myself and my family have finally found a great dentist and practice in Toms River after almost 9 years of living here. I highly recommend Dr. Rubulotta and his entire staff! Thank you for making my experience so enjoyable. I actually am looking forward to coming back which I never thought I would say about the dentist! ❤️

The staff is always cordial and welcoming! The facilities are very clean and pleasant. The doctors are also top-notch. I have had several different doctors over the past few years and they’re all very very caring and professional and good. I love Encore and I recommend them to my friends and family. Had 2 root canals today to prep for caps. Never felt ANY discomfort from novacaine or drilling. In fact I didn't even realize that Dr Rubilata had already started the 2nd tooth. Most comfortable comparable procedure I can ever remember having on my teeth from beginning to end.
