I had been going to this office for about 2 years due to the convenience of the location. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience every single time I interacted with this office. I was quoted incorrectly for the prices of dental/orthodontic work on multiple occasions (even overpaying and not getting refunded until more than 6 months later). There have been times where I schedule an appointment in-person with the front desk or dental hygienist and later get told the appointment does not exist in their system and have to reschedule. In my personal opinion, the dentist I saw comes across as rude and sarcastic, rushing the appointment. Every time you call, expect either a call center that never passes your messages along or a 20+ minute wait on hold. Even when you do get ahold of someone in the office, they are either rude and short in the conversation or can’t give any information and say they’ll call back (they never do). The last straw for me was a bad experience with a very simple, routine procedure that ended with unnecessary cuts inside and outside the corners of my mouth. It was so painful and swollen I could barely eat or talk for a few days. It took me a week and a half of calling multiple times a day to finally get in touch with the office manager regarding this issue; to which she responded "you should have called us right away." That was the last straw for me because I did everything to try to get a hold of them. I gave this office multiple chances, hoping the things that happened were just a fluke, but now I see it is just a bad practice. From a former patient and as someone who works in healthcare, do not give them your business.
Terri was a wonderful doctor! Not only did she make the experience pain free, she also made sure my wires weren’t pokey. My mouth feels so relieved and the color is stunning. Thanks and I hope to see you again!!
My experience at Thousand Oaks Dental Group was very nice. I had 2 cavities filled here. The staff and doctors were awesome and very friendly. Dr. Victory was very professional and caring. She listened and understood my needs. The equipment is up to date and office is very clean. I am very happy and I give them 5 stars.
Dr Lambridies was fantastic. Sadly, he sold the business to a scam artist. Went in to get my son a 6 month cleaning. The cleaning never happened and they wanted to pull his wisdom teeth at 13 years old. They charged our insurance for the cleaning.
My son and I waited over a hour for our appointments until I just left. This has happened several times. Did not receive my co-pay back. This after being rescheduled twice because the dentist called out. Ortho tried to charge my daughter $600 for the removal of a broken retainer. I went down and suddenly it’s $300. They can’t seem to retain dentists or orthodontists. Really poor patient care. The staff seemed really stressed and acted passive aggressively toward each other. We’ve been going there for 15 years. Time to move on. Much love to Martika who is the best thing there.
I just moved to town and didn’t know any other place, I sat for four hours here and the dentist was in with me for 30 minutes. She tried to blame me for why it took so long but disappeared for over an hour and I know it was because she went into a meeting because that’s what I was told. I paid for a numbing shot and by the time I was at the ending of what I needed done it was already worn off. She barely listened to my concerns made it really uncomfortable and got more and more aggressive with my mouth as I asked more questions. They also say they have warranty on crowns but they have no print off for you at all, nothing at all in writing. You have to ask for everything you’re signing to be printed or to see it, they just want you to sign and sign without seeing anything. They over book immensely instead of just focusing on the clients they have. I do not recommend anyone go here- not even for anything minor you’ll spend half the day there.
I wouldn’t even give this place 1 star. My 3 appointments here were an absolute CIRCUS — zero communication between staff, wrong pricing quoted, and the Dentist managed to take X-rays but forgot to do an actual exam. I left 4 messages for the Practice Manager, Stacie within a week— with no call back. When I tried again, I was put on hold for 20 minutes and then hung up on. Hands down the WORST service I’ve ever experienced. Do not do it!
