Comfort Dental - Thornton

I had an appointment yesterday at Comfort Dental and I always enjoyed coming to the dentist. My doctor is doctor Parker and she’s just one great person. She makes me feel safe. I trust her with all that she advises me to do. Also the young man who did the cleaning was Very thorough. Very gentle made my teeth feel just smooth and great. I always look forward to my six month check ups.

Ok, like me, i think many people don't like dentists! It's sometimes a horrible but necessary chore you must do! But my dentist doctor baumgartner (sp) is the best! Even if you could do better flossing, brushing, she puts it in a kind matter, not hypocritical. She capped 4 teeth for me which was vanity on my part, at a very reasonable price, now I'm not ashamed to smile and show my teeth, which was a big deal before! So, I recommend this place, and my dentist! Please try, especially if you are like me who changes their dentists like socks!

My first time getting a cleaning here and unfortunately fell sick the day of the cleaning testing positive for covid, because I was drowsy and down all day I did not remember I had an appointment that afternoon until the last minute so I called to let them know I had covid so I could not make it and was told I most likely wouldn’t receive a bill because I was sick. Few days later I got a bill for $50 and was told the dentist Ana Cadotte had made the decision to bill me for something that was out of my control. This place would rather have sick patients show up then lose a dollar, money over health.

I was shocked today at my treatment here. I had called to schedule a cleaning but made sure to tell the front desk at the time that I am pregnant and cannot have x-rays per my doc. They mentioned if a have a note from my doc to bring it in (I didn't). I drive all the way over, fill out the paperwork, wait and finally am taken back. I was with the hygienist less than 5 minutes before she informed me they "couldn't" do my cleaning because I wasn't getting X-rays. What?? Since when do you need X-Rays to clean my damn teeth?? All you're doing essentially is brushing my teeth with a fancy toothbrush and flossing them. That doesn't require an x-ray! I have a feeling they just didn't want to spend the time for JUST a cleaning because they don't get paid enough for it to be worth it. Ridiculous. When we called afterward the front desk tried to suddenly say they "require" a doctor's note if I am pregnant to even be able to do a cleaning. Absolute BULL. Neither myself nor my spouse will be back.

Every time I visit Dr Parker here, I keep thinking about the review at this location about the guy who has no teeth 6 months later. I have to get that image out of my head because Dr Parker is amazing and I love working with her to fix my teeth. It's been almost a month since she started working on my teeth and they haven't been better! Of course it also requires you to do your job by brushing and flossing everyday, and taking care of the instructions that the doctor gave you when you get an extraction or filling or anything else. I feel like that image that I brought up in the beginning of this review is because the guy didn't take care of his teeth after the doctor worked on it. Still, the image still haunts me lol. Also for people still complaining about insurance issues, just make sure that everyone's communicating properly. Probably the best experience I’ve had at a dentist honestly. I have huge dental anxiety and they made me feel comfortable and took their time to talk me through what they were doing and ease my nerves. It was also really affordable which was a very pleasant surprise

I don’t usually do reviews, but my experience here was so good that I want to leave one! My teeth were an actual mess and I have a decent amount of dental trauma (from other places) so I often fear dental appointments, but the staff here made me feel so comfortable and cared for that I think some of my trauma healed today. Each individual that worked with me was so gentle with my teeth and checked in with me often regarding my comfort levels. Everybody talked me through what to expect each moment - and that transparency was appreciated. In addition, the doctor was transparent and clear about the options available, while also making it clear that there is hope and she will not give up on my teeth. I felt so seen, heard, and cared for! I’m really glad that I switched to this practice.
