Visited for the first time in over a decade. Parking lot was packed, but some spaces could be found a distance away from the building. Great selection of necessities and fresh baked goods. Carts are huge and it takes a bit of careful navigating not to bump others... Self checkout is quick and easy. 7/25/25 update - huge super ripe watermelons, crunchy white peaches, and perfect bananas are available now. I get anxiety parking and navigating aisles with their bulky carts, but summer fruit makes me get over it and just go. 1/6/2026 - hectic and super crowded even in the late afternoon. Best to try and plan your visit earlier.
It was a nice experience. I recently got myself a Costco membership and great prices everywhere. I finally get to check into the famous food stand with the famous $1.50 hotdog everyone keeps telling me about🌭 Place does seem to get packed & lines could get longer. Staff is friendly, hope to save more money now that I'm a member.
Costco has been one of our go-to places for household shopping. The variety is excellent — from fresh produce and meat to electronics, supplements, clothing, and household essentials, almost everything we need is under one roof. The prices are very competitive, and the Kirkland brand products are usually high-quality and great value. The staff are generally friendly and efficient, checkout lines move fairly quickly even during busy hours, and the return policy is one of the best out there. The gas station is also a big plus — usually cheaper than most places nearby. One downside is that many items come in very large packages, which isn’t always practical for smaller households like ours (we’re a family of two adults and one child). Sometimes it leads to waste if we can’t finish everything before it goes bad. It would be great if there were more mid-size options for smaller families. Overall, Costco remains a solid choice for bulk shopping, and well worth the membership — just be mindful of how much you can realistically use at home.
In short: a) They marked ALL their wings as "ribs"; b) I had to be lining up and informed them so; c) No "sorry", zero compensation, for this is how you are supposed to buy their products in the "supposedly right" price. Details: Their wings are supposed to be 6.49/lb but were actually all labelled and priced as "back ribs" as 8.99. Not done yet. Found that at the cashier, took time to go back there and take the big price picture. Had to line up and speak to the manager for the right price, JUST for the price that I was SUPPOSED to pay for. At this little box of wings and all the errand I asked for a discount like 3 or 4 dollars because of all the fuss AND saving COSTCO's bussiness integrity. The manager Christine refused and said that is what all the customers do without any compensation, saying all she could do is a "soda". I thought Costco represented the customer service of the USA standard. 店大欺客
NOEMI Every few months I go to this Costco in Sunnyvale and am met with courteous employees and great food and service. HAHA, not this time, though. There is an employee named NOEMI who was in charge of doing samples for chicken wings. We pass by her sample stand and she dismissively says to us "I need ten more minutes" which we completely understand because you do have to cook the chicken wings, after all. We go by a few minutes later and she says the same thing again, which we understand as well. However, after REPEATEDLY going by her stand for about twenty minutes after the second interaction with her (as she was situated at a major intersection, right between the frozen aisle and snack aisle) she had not served a SINGLE sample other than serving it to two WHITE people and then denying the Costco sample to a bunch of Asian customers who were standing behind the white people. She instead just kept putting new chicken into the oven extremely slowly, as if to stall for time, but the old chicken was NOT being put out, so oh ho, where was it going? Later, when we turn and look at the back of the sample stand (the side NOEMI is standing on), and there are TWO HUGE bowls of COOKED chicken wings that she is REFUSING to serve. It is only after a BUNCH of customers start confronting and talking to her that she puts those chicken wings out. Now, I am not accusing NOEMI of being racist but I don't understand why she was refusing to serve. Sure, it could be because the chicken wings were too hot to serve and she wanted them to cool down first but at that point those chicken wings had been out of the oven for at LEAST twenty minutes, so I do not think letting the chicken wings cool down is the real reason.
I love going to Costco. Lawrence Costco is amazing with amazing staff on the floor. They are always happy to welcome everyone with their greetings. I purchase groceries in Costco. My kids love to have Ice Creams and Cheese Pizza in Costco. Everytime I go to Costco, we will have a nice shopping experience. They sell the Gas which is the purest in the US. No 1 quality of the Gas and the right quantity.
Okay costco with horrible layout. Do find what I need but this is one of the busiest costco's in the bay area. So what that means is extremely packed parking lot during peak hours & weekends afternoon. A lot of people can't drive and stay on their damn side of the road. So many people rush & fail to stop for stop sign just to get to the gas station. Seriously in a hurry to get no where. Many times I see people turn on blinker waiting for a person to leave while idiots behind them honk at them ignoring the blinker and try to rush around almost getting hit by the car backing out or to be met with oncoming traffic coming from the opposite direction. Just a bit a common sense would go a long way; people have their blinkers on for a reason. And again if you're impatient, you came to this costco lol. What do you expect? Also I seen so many lazy shoppers put shopping carts on curbs or in sidewalkways when the area to out the carts back is 15 feet away. Like if you can walk yourself in the store you can out it back. And honestly, the fact that people do monkey see monkey do and constantly follow others that put carts where it obviously not goes is concerning. Which leads me to the fact people park in areas they're NOT supposed to park. They park on side curbs that make it hard for actual parking spots to leave. Others park in the "NO PARKING" areas in between handicaps spots blocking their accessibility to just to pickup a damn 10 dollar pizza. Even motorcycles try to park in between walkways in between handicaps. I do like that there is an officer who writes tickets on the weekdays to people wrongfully using handicap spots. I think people drive their relative's car use their placke.
