My daughter, son, and I all visit Sugarland Modern Dentistry, and every experience has been exceptional. The team is always warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. Today, I had the pleasure of being treated by Suzette Waite and she is truly one of the most gentle, polite, and patient hygienists I’ve ever met. She made my cleaning completely comfortable and virtually painless, all while staying thorough and attentive. Suzette’s calming presence and friendly conversation helped ease any nerves and made me forget I was even at the dentist. Although the entire staff is wonderful, Suzette truly stood out during today’s visit. This was my first time with her, and I sincerely hope she remains a lasting part of the Sugarland Modern Dentistry team. I have visited this place for my wife dental issue of broken teeth. They suggested cleaning and crown for almost 2200 dollars after my insurance. We thought it’s too much for cleaning and requested for only crown for which they mentioned 1180 dollars. When contacted my insurance they mentioned the crown treatment for my plan should be only 600 dollars, which means the clinic tried to charge double the money. I mentioned the same to the team and they suggested to consult with doctor and get back to me on prizing match on Monday at 2 pm (our visit happened on Thursday the previous week). They didn’t reach out to me on Monday. When I reached out they took the details three times and abruptly hang the call when requested to speak with doctor. Never going there again. Worst customer service and response.

I had my worst experience dealing with any dental clinic. I called that I needed cleaning. I got to the place, they said I needed full X-ray. They had all sorts of X-rays, took some saliva test, took so many nonsense test that made ZERO sense to me. It felt they were doing everything in their power to bill me for whatever was left in my dental insurance since the year was coming to an end. After so many hours of time wasting, a blonde looking Dr came in, said I was losing bone teeth, that I was beginning to have large spaces on my teeth. She said even though I didn’t have any cavities I still needed a laser deep cleaning, she said I’ll need mouth guard too, I said I wear retainer to sleep every night religiously, she later sent a young black man to me that he is in charge of knowing what insurance would cover. The guy presented many bills, he said for all the X-rays done already, he showed me that they charged my insurance about $1,500, and that my out of pocket was zero. He said for the complete laser deep cleaning she recommended, the total would be around $4,500, and my out of pocket would be around $1,500, I told him, I don’t have all these, I ONLY wanted the regular basic cleaning. He left after seeing, I wasn’t going to pay all these nonsense , and later on the blonde so called ‘Dr’ came back, telling me I’ll needed 4 quadrant, and it cost $80 per quadrant, meaning, my out of pocket after charging the insurance for another almost $1,500, would be $320. I felt like I was in a time share sales meeting. It was horrible and so unethical. In the end they didn’t clean my teeth and I was let go after fraudulently charging my insurance for nonsense test. Please RUN away from them. I hardly write reviews, but this is too important to just let go.

Dr. Kenny Patel has been incredibly kind, patient, and understanding, and brings a warmth to dentistry that’s truly rare. I’ve always had a lot of anxiety about dental visits, but my experience with Dr. Patel has changed so much of that. From now on, I’ll only see him. He has a gentle demeanor that immediately puts you at ease while still making you feel informed and in control. He never talks down to you; instead, he’s encouraging and compassionate throughout the entire process. He recently did a crown for me, and unlike my previous experiences elsewhere, this one was actually pleasant. He walked me through each step, kept his tone calm and reassuring, and made sure I felt comfortable the entire time. If you have any anxiety or stress about going to the dentist, or if you’re simply looking for a caring, attentive professional who goes the extra mile, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Kenny Patel.

I had a wonderful experience at this dental office! My cleaning was done by Mary, who was extremely helpful and very thorough. She took the time to explain each step of the process with great care, which made me feel comfortable and well taken care of. I really appreciate the professionalism and kindness, highly recommend!

Payton was an absolutely phenomenal dental assistant. Whether providing support, answering questions, or assisting as a hygienist, she always went above and beyond to provide patient care and ensure I felt safe and comfortable. She was truly one of the best dental assistants I have ever worked with.
