Highly recommend Dr. Hathaway and his team! Dr. Hathaway is kind, considerate, patient and well versed in dentistry. I came in with an emergency and the staff took me in right away. They always made time for me and walked me through the process with great communication! Dr. Hathaway communicates dentistry in a way that’s understandable and less intimidating. The office is clean, inviting, and very beautiful! Happy to have found this practice!

Soul Smiles in DC is hands down the best dental experience I’ve ever had! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff made me feel completely at ease. Dr. Hathaway is not only incredibly skilled but also takes the time to ensure every visit is comfortable and thorough. I love supporting a Black-owned business, and Soul Smiles has truly set the bar high for exceptional dental care!

I’m extremely disappointed with the unprofessional experience I had with Soul Smile. I scheduled an appointment for my father two weeks in advance and completed all his paperwork ahead of time to ensure everything was ready. Despite this, I received a call today at 4:15 PM, the evening before his 10:00 AM appointment, from a staff member named LaKeisha (or something similar), informing me that my father would need to pay out of pocket. This was very frustrating, especially because I had asked all the necessary questions about insurance and payment before scheduling. When I calmly asked why I was being contacted last minute, the representative was extremely rude, dismissive, and spoke to me with a clear attitude. I asked to speak to a manager, only to be told that no manager was available, and that she was the only person there — even though she admitted the office was closed. To make matters worse, she ended the call by hanging up on me and canceling the appointment, just like that. This behavior is not only unprofessional, but also ignorant and unacceptable. It shows a clear lack of communication, organization, and basic respect for patients' time. I strongly urge management to review how their staff interacts with clients. This kind of service is a waste of people’s time and reflects very poorly on the office as a whole

Great service, great general advice and information. Also took my kids for their first dental check and it went great! They were so comfortable and put at ease and had a great first dental experience!!

I must say this was by far the best dentistry myself and my family has experienced. Dr. Hathaway took us as a 4 family unity, and he and his team executed our services without any problems. One of the best family Dentist offices in the DMV

The whole office is always a vibe. Everyone is friendly, patient, and truly do their best to help with the entire process during your procedure. I’ve had a few orthodontists in my life but Dr. Hathaway is legit the best. Personable, knowledgeable, kind, smart, patient, really a solid character at the core of who he is. He sincerely cares for his patients and their pockets. I recommend him to my friends and anyone asking about looking into orthodontics for themselves. I recently finished my last session with him. He helped me get my teeth and my smile to exactly where I want it. Shoot! I’d mess my teeth up again just to go through the ride all over again! (LOL JK) It was without a doubt a truly beautiful wonderful experience working with Dr. Hathaway and his office! 10/10
