1st Advantage Dental - Niskayuna US 9

Had a very great visit. My consult went well. Dr. Saldana came up with the best plan for me going forward. Cleaning was done by Jess, she was amazing. Made me feel comfortable and talk through every step with me. Azia dental assistant was very accommodating, made me feel welcome and comfortable and went above and beyond.

FIND ANOTHER DENTIST TO GO TO!! I initially scheduled as a new patient in April and was scheduled for June. I told them my insurance and they confirmed they were in network. Appointment was canceled the day before at 4 pm to then be rescheduled into January. Appointment for January was canceled. I was first told that their office was closed on Fridays moving forward and that is why I needed to reschedule - not true. I was then offered a March date. I explained that that is too far out as I initially reached out in April. After that, the March date was SUDDENLY unavailable and was offered a JUNE date. I said that was outrageous. Then I was told that I couldn’t be helped and the manager would reach out. The call ended and I called back - no answer left a voicemail. Called again, I was told the appointments I had were canceled as there were conferences on those dates, and they are open on Fridays. So not only was the first scheduling person RUDE, she was also LYING. After all of this, they advised that they are no longer in network with my insurance. All of this and I still have not even been seen as a patient. FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GO

Omg I can't express how wonderful and professional all the employees are. My Husband and I are so happy we have experienced and exceptional Receptionist Detal Hygienist and also the Doctors. We love going their. Your staff is second to none.

I went to 1st Advantage Dental in February 2026 and was seen by Japneet Verma for a broken tooth. Although they did take 1 x-ray & told me it needed to be extracted or have a root canal & cap they were not helpful at all. Within the week I has instructed by my insurance company to go to Aspen Dental across the street. I contacted 1st Advantage and requested a copy of my x-ray to have and was told it would take up to 30 days! This is ludicrous. According to the insurance company all I should of had to do was sign an authorization and receive a copy of the x-ray I PAID FOR. At Aspen Dental I was given a full set of x-rays which indicated that I did not have 1BROKEN TOOTH I actually had 3 BROKEN TEETH which would have been shown if 1st Advantage had actually done their job. IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A DENTIST THAT IS RELIABLE, COMPETENT, ADEQUATE, PROFICIENT OR CAPABLE TO DETERMINE WHAT IS ACTUALLY WROND WITH YOUR TEETH….. DO NOT GO TO 1st ADVANTAGE

The dentist was good, but can your front desk people please show up at the front desk earlier than 9:00am? I had I 9:00am appointment and I could not complete the electronic form that was given to me at all because they did not show up early enough. Only one person showed up before 9:00 just to tell me that someone will check me in. If you are going to have your patients fill out an electronic form prior to their appointment, please send a linkage through their email or text at least a day before so they can completely fill it out without any problems, ok? That would make things a lot easier instead of using an electronic pad. Thanks

Been going to 1st Advantage for 7 years and never had a problem. Recently though, I had to change my appointment and rescheduled it to August. Day of my appt got a call saying that they needed to reschedule due to short staff. No problem, rescheduled it for the following week. The day before my appointment, received a text saying that they were short staffed again and I needed to call the office. I called the office and asked when the next available was. I was told that they were booked THE REST OF THE YEAR INTO NEXT YEAR!!! That's insane and ridiculous! The receptionist didn't' seem like she cared either or that she couldn't be bothered. That's insane and poor of them. We are looking at a new dentist now and have to start over! There seems to be a staffing issue at the place. Not sure if that's the truth or they are no longer taking my insurance and are just using this as excuse rather than just saying it to the us. Would NOT recommend as it's a very high turn over of hygienists and dentists, never a regular one there. *Update* for a rescheduled date for 12/31 only to have that cancelled as well. Them rescheduled for 12/22. Make that appointment only to see a sign on the door saying as of 12/7 they no longer take Delta Dental. No phone call or letter to let me know. I ask them about it and they said that they would have to charge me in full and then hope Delta Dental pays me back. I said why wasn’t I informed about this and they swore up and down they called. I told them that wasn’t true bc the only time I hear from them is to cancel my appointment. They also said that the insurance also sent a letter and they received confirmation. I told them that’s also untrue as I never got a letter. So we are now looking for a new dentist as my company only offers Delta Dental. I’d appreciate it if they were honest about this and told ahead of time but that’s not the case. Terrible customer service and staff-very rude.

Office went out of there way to reschedule my exam and hygentist was very nice and very gentle. It was my first appointment at this location and so far so good.
