Santa Fe Oral Surgeons

I was referred to SF Oral Surgeons for a wisdom tooth removal. The consultation with the dental staff was short & very detailed. An appointment for the wisdom tooth extraction was scheduled for the next month. Upon arrival to the scheduled appointment, I paid the fee & waited a few minutes. I was prepped by the dental assistant & Dr. Wheaton, given local anesthetics which took 20-25 minutes to kick in before extraction begin. Within 2 pulls, my tooth was removed. It was pain-free & happened so fast. I didn't realize my tooth was extracted! I left w/a stack of sterile gauze to help w/extraction site bleeding & a prescription for Ibuprofen. Post-Op verbal & written instructions were straight forward & I am healing well. Thank you Dr. Wheaton & your staff for being kind & professional!

I was concerned for the well being of my current state of oral healthcare. It took a few months of seeing numerous Dentists to address my needs. Once referred to Santa Fe Oral surgeons practice, I was pleasantly surprised by their quick attention to detail in coming up with a cost effective plan of care to correct three teeth needing extraction. The plan of care outlined treatment plan and of course the dreaded how much will this cost. I was pleased by the effort put forth to streamline the cost even further when treatment was modified. Day of extraction proved to be calming and welcoming, I was shown to the recliner, where a wonderful young lady, hooked me up to monitors for my heart rate, breathing patterns, and blood pressure. Started me breathing some laughing gas, and started a painless IV. Then came some oxygen and the IV sedation medication propofol. About 10 seconds later I was fast asleep, waking eventually an hour later. No uncomfortable pain or soreness afterwards. Numbing medication had been placed after I was sedated. If the need should present itself I will be choosing Santa Fe Oral Surgeons for any further oral healthcare needs. My experience was stellar. I'm glad for the referral to their practice. I was in horrible pain, my tooth abscessed and it had to come out. Doc made sure I had enough and correct numbing, got the tooth out with ease. I intend to have an implant, same doc.

Dr Wheaton and his staff are simply the very best at what they do. 100% kind, caring and competent. If you must see an oral surgeon, this office should your choice.
