Dentistry on St. Michaels

I came to this office after my dentist retired. I was greeted by a friendly front staff. I was scheduled with Dr. Melissa Ivers. Dr. Ivers took the time to listen to my concerns and addressed them one by one. She is very competent and has a wonderful chairside manner. Lisa is incredible and I felt at home at this office. I had my teeth cleaned by Shari and she was an excellent hygienist. I highly recommend this office. I wish I could them them 10 stars.

A professional and caring dental clinic. Dr. Alba and Lupe were comforting throughout the procedure and both had a great sense of humor! The staff at check-in & check-out were great too! I highly recommend Dentistry on St. Michaels. A "tip of the hat" to the office manager Marie!!

I have never been treated in such a professional manner at a dentist office before. The front desk girl Amanda was extremely helpful and kind with my process of checking in and checking out. The dentist and assistant were also great but I will certainly be returning just due to the amazing front desk staff. I wasn’t seen as just a dollar sign to them and they actually cared for what I had to say pertaining to my financial situations.

Consistently disappointed with this practice. I have been a patient here for just over two years and the quality of care continues to decline. I felt that the dentist was always rushed and did not address some of my underlying dental issues. Additionally, they tried to charge me a cash-pay price for something I knew my insurance covered. My insurance verified coverage and their billing team was reluctant to submit the claim to my insurance. Beware of their unethical billing tactics. I will be finding a new dentist.

The room was clean. The chairs were clean. The words were not. They came clipped, thin as winter light through blinds, no weight in them, no warmth. Hands moved. Tools moved. No one lingered long enough to notice the flinch. Questions fell like small stones into water— heard, but not answered. Time was the only thing in a hurry. Sat, still as a field after harvest, waiting for something human to pass through. It did not. Left with the work done, yes— and something else undone, quietly, completely.

DO NOT USE THIS DENTIST OFFICE. This is the worst dental office I’ve ever been to. They don’t care about you, Dr.Alba recommended four crowns which was the first red flag, only one covered by insurance. They provided no feedback other than I "should" get them. I have had at least five temp fails and two permanent crowns not fit. Having two permanent crowns "not fit" is not normal. They put permanent cement on the most recent temp without explaining the risks aka could lead to a root canal. She does not explain what she is doing. I requested a rescan before the second failed fitting and they refused. Then after the second permanent fail - they said I needed a rescan. I’ve never felt so unsafe and disregarded in a medical setting in my life. They’ve caused me emotional distress and I still don’t have a tooth! The techs are inexperienced, I had to have mulitple technicians come into place temps and know what type of cement to use on my teeth. If you are going to recommend four crowns you should be able to complete one! Even worse - they sent another patients dental records to me which is a serious privacy violation. Your personal data and dental care on not safe or taken seriously by this office. I asked for my actual records and they never replied to me, I am unsure if they even took real records. BEWARE AND DO NOT COME HERE.

Dr. Alba is by far one of the best dentists I have had! She is very good at explaining and listening. I highly recommend her. The whole office staff is amazing and compassionate.
