We love the staff! Very friendly, the doctor is super helpful if you have any questions. I take both my kids here and they really like going to the dentist. My 7 year old in particular really enjoys her visits!

Today was my third visit to this office. • First visit: routine teeth cleaning for my twins • Second and third visits: dental surgery I experienced serious inconsistencies and concerning practices. When services were initially covered by the city’s insurance, the cost was quoted at $200 per child. Once welfare insurance was added to cover the remaining balance, the total pricing suddenly changed, which felt inconsistent and unclear. During surgery for my first twin, anesthesia was handled appropriately: a full team was present, prepared, and I was allowed to comfort my child until she fell asleep. The experience for my second twin was completely different. I was rushed out of the room, there was no team present or ready, and despite a 9:20 a.m. appointment, she was not seen until 10:56 a.m. As a parent, these inconsistencies—especially during anesthesia—are deeply troubling. This experience left me feeling frustrated, dismissed, and concerned about patient safety. Based on what I observed, I do not feel confident or comfortable trusting this office moving forward... I will repost of aftercare of both twin in 2weeks

The wait to see a doctor with two young children 3.5 and 1.5 was very long. The hygienist said to us when we got into the room that "sorry for the wait, there’s no communication with anyone happening today." She was very good with kids but the cleaning machine didn’t work, had someone else come in to help fix that. Paid up front before showing me what the plan was for payment. I didn’t and up getting the X-rays so I’m certain I paid for that even though it didn’t happen. The Dr. was nice but took a long time for two littles and didn’t explain very thoroughly what my main question was with my youngest being about his lip tie. Made us another appt without asking when we were available or dates that work for us. We were very disappointed with this experience.

My son had his first dental appointment and the dental assistant was so nice and explained everything, he got his goodie bag and she even took a Polaroid picture of his first visit that does have a magnet. The doctor was also very nice and very informative. It was a nice experience.

They staff was amazing ⭐⭐⭐ Everyone was so polite and answered every question I had to where I understood it. THE BEST PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY EVER!! My kids both were not scared and they both said " I loved it when can we come back?"...❤️❤️❤️ Shot out to Ms.Vivian.

I am absolutely in love with this dentist office… they are all so sweet and professional the vibe is so positive here From the front desk clerk to the nurses in the back to Dr. Derek and the new comer Dr.Moon… My kids were scared but Dr.Derek speaks to the kids and comforts them if they get tensed for any reason he won’t traumatize them he does what is always best for the kiddos… I have a large family other places I had to go only two at a time this office made room for all the remaining of my kids to b seen at the same time…. If you are in need of not a good dentist office but a phenomenal one this is the place to be ❤️‍🔥

We love San Marcos Pediatric Dental. Our hygienist was so good with my boys. And my dentist is very pleasant as well. We have been coming to San Marcos pediatric dental for the last seven years and we have never had a problem. I highly recommend them.
