Carus Dental San Marcos

Megan is amazing! She goes above and beyond and makes you feel safe and comfortable. She’s incredibly smart and provides you with so much valuable information! My teeth are a big insecurity of mine, but she creates such a welcoming and nonjudgmental environment! She truly knows what she is doing. I HIGHLY recommend Megan!

Very respectful, and compassionate care. I walked in asking about an estimate and mentioned I don't have insurance. Instead of turning me away Dawn mentioned they have a discount program and was able to get me set up on that plan for less than 100 dollars. When I came for my appointment I had forgotten to fill out the form for the discount so Dawn helped me with it and Brittany pulled up my account so I didn't have to recover my password ( all with a smile). During my consultation Meadow walked me through the plan and x-rayed my teeth. She was super friendly and professional. Later Alex came in and did the hygiene part of the consultation. This dude is a number guy, him and Meadow were in-sync measuring my gums and got that portion done fast, giving me some great advice for what to change in my daily teeth routines. Shortly after that Dr. Ortiz came in to help me create a follow-up plan for fixing all my teeth, even after I mentioned I may not be able to afford getting this done in the USA. I received great care regardless and it didn't affect the level of urgency they cared for me with. At the end of the consult Brittney helped me get my medical records together and emailed me all my X-rays without hesitation. Super friendly front desk. I have been to the dentist dozens of times over the last year and this was by far the best dentist experience I have had. It was the first time I left the dentist not feeling like garbage. If you hate going to the dentist and/or have had bad experiences in the past give these guys a try, you won't be disappointed.

I've been going to Carus Dental for 20 years. First in Austin, and now in San Marcos. The doctors, hygienists and office staff are all highly professional and are excellent at their jobs. Combined with a friendly, positive ambience, and individualized attention, I ABSOLUTLELY recommend Carus Dental!

Great experience here. My hygienist Alex was fantastic!! He made me feel so comfortable and was super informative and answered every question I had. Dr. Ortiz was very friendly, and truly seemed to care about my visit. Definitely recommend coming here

I just wanted to take a moment to say how wonderful Meagan is! She completely changed what would normally be a stressful (and honestly dreaded) dental visit into a surprisingly positive experience. She’s kind, patient, and genuinely goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable every step of the way. I love this dentist office. For me being a new patient, they went above and beyond. They were super patient with my children which is a huge plus to me. They did a full x-ray plus a 3D mold of my teeth. I’ve never had that done before, so I was surprised. I want to give a huge shout out to Meghan! She was awesome! She cleaned my teeth’s so well and even flossed them and she made me feel super comfortable during the entire procedure. I’ve never had a better experience! Also want to thank the dentist for coming in at the end and making a treatment plan with me so I can finally fix my teeth and feel more comfortable smiling. I've been going to Carus for over 10 years. The dental care is first rate. The last few years, I was getting frustrated with the billing department and was considering a change. I gave them 1 more try, and what a difference. The front desk folks were on it! Here's to another 10 years.
