Customer Reviews
Salt Lake Dental has a rating of 4.6 out of 5 based on over 1298 reviews on Google
It's very unlike me to leave reviews, but in this case, I feel it's important to give my feedback. It's disappointing too, because I've recommended Salt Lake Dental to people in the past. In November, I was scheduled for two fillings. I paid a $60 deposit and was assured that everything else was covered by my insurance. Unfortunately, I ended up getting COVID and had to cancel 24 hours in advance. I apologized as their late cancellation policy is within 48 hours, but I obviously did not want to introduce the entire clinic to COVID. I rescheduled for a Monday, thinking I was getting better, but things got worse on Saturday. I called to cancel on Saturday and spoke to a very nice girl who assured me I wouldn't be charged a fee. Again, I did not want to spread COVID to the entire clinic and their patients. Fast forward to now, when I'm ready to reschedule. I was told I would have to pay a new deposit as they had taken my $60 and applied it to late fees. I reluctantly decided to pay the fee again (I know, stupid) and rescheduled. I was then told that my fillings would actually cost me $200 after insurance, though nothing with my insurance has changed. As I do not have $260 just laying around, I cancelled, and will not be going back. There are plenty of highly rated dental clinics in Salt Lake, and I will be finding a new one. So, if you'd like to go to an office that prioritizes patients coming in with COVID over canceling, check out Salt Lake Dental.
We have been with Dr. Carter’s office for over 10 years. We started when our kids were toddlers and kept going even after we moved. We tried a closer pediatric dentist for a bit to save drive time. Big mistake. We switched back to Dr. Carter and will not look back. What makes this office different is simple. Honesty. Integrity. They always advocate for what is best for the patient, not what is easiest or most profitable. Dr. Carter explains options in plain language, answers every question with patience, and never rushes decisions. When something can wait, he says so. When something needs attention, he tells you why. As a parent, that kind of clarity is priceless. The team is exceptional. Front desk to assistants to hygienists, everyone is kind, professional, and proactive. Special shoutout to Daisy who goes above and beyond on the regular. She helps with scheduling, paperwork, and the insurance maze like a total hero. You feel taken care of before you even sit down. Our kids feel safe here. The staff is gentle and upbeat, and they remember the small things that make appointments go smoothly. It does not feel like a dental factory. It feels like family that just happens to run a great dental practice. If you want a dentist who will treat your child like their own, this is the place. Honest guidance. Thoughtful care. Zero pressure. Five stars is not enough.
Yet another pleased client with this practice. A thank you for Dr. Carter being able to accomodate and the ease to book appointments around my unusual schedule is always appreciated!
I did clear aligners (i.e., Invisalign) with Dr. Carter and love how my teeth turned out. Dr. Carter made sure my teeth were perfect before we completed the treatment. Thanks!
I cannot say enough about this company. I had begun to get dental care (finally) and was supposed to have financial help. The person who was helping me revoked their payment and changed their mind, and I was left with a big bill and still with the majority of the same dental issues (no back molars from chemo and soft tooth syndrome, multiple split teeth, posts for implants I couldn’t afford caps on, etc) I was so worried the credit I’m working so hard to build would be destroyed. My situation is really hard right now…I’m a single parent post two types of cancer, and post stroke. My daughter has grade four kidney disease. That’s my own problem, and most companies couldn’t care less about a persons personal situation, they just want their money. Not here, though. They’ve been so kind to me beginning to end and have gone above and beyond to help me figure out a payment plan I can afford, and hopefully smile again one day without covering my mouth. I want that so much for my kids to see and I’ve found a dentist that cares enough to help me get there. 10/10z
Everyone here was really professional, friendly, and accommodating. It was a long wait since they only had one dentist in on Saturday, but Rachel and Carolyn did a great job making all of the procedures and financing options clear to us. My fiance has a pretty serious fear of going to the dentist and this was far and away the best experience he's ever had. Plus the implant special was a good discount on everything.
It was my first time here! I am impressed by Fatima, the hygienist. She did an amazing job. I can notice the difference between the previous hygienist. Thanks for the great work!
