Customer Reviews
Rockville Dental Center has a rating of 4.6 out of 5 based on over 401 reviews on Google
The treatment was for the tooth pain. We got the prescription but we didn’t realize it had the wrong patient name until we were told by the pharmacy. We called the second day since it’s after working hours. I called and texted the address of the pharmacy. However, i was told by the pharmacy that they sent to another pharmacy which I didn’t request with even the wrong medicine! We couldn’t use the medicine for two days because of their mistakes! We have extra teeth pain because of their mistakes! I’m upset!
As a nervous dental patient, I’ve had nothing but good experiences here for the last several years. I most recently saw Dr. Korman and really liked her personable but direct approach. Front desk staff are lovely too.
Do not recommend. If you like your time valued, and don’t like being upsold, go elsewhere. Specific issues: came in for a deep clean, told I had tooth cracks. Fine. Dentists said on session 1 she didn’t have time to do full deep cleans in one go, only did half side. Apparently I had to come back again. I scheduled another session, when I came back, they said I needed a third appointment to fill in tooth cracks, because, again they didn’t have time. I had specifically asked if this was all going to be done at once when booking appointment 2, and was assured at reception it would be. Note the tooth cleaning portion only took 10 mins, the main time was taken with anasthesia and x rays each time, so I don’t agree they didn’t have time. If they had been more efficient it would all have been done in one session. I was left with the impression they wanted to bill my insurance multiple times by having me come multiple times. My time is valuable, I also don’t like having to take off work unnecessarily. They also kept trying to upsell me on retainers (though I repeatedly mentioned I had one already). And they unilaterally booked a time slot and tried to charge me to cancel. None of the actual dentists are the ones they have on the hallway, though that’s a minor point.
I do not recommend this place at all. I came in for a cleaning and was told I had to get X-rays as well. The hygienist who did my cleaning was unfriendly and barely spoke. At the end, I was suddenly told I had seven cavities. I brush and floss twice a day, so this was shocking to me. I scheduled an appointment for fillings, only to see the same hygienist again—someone I don’t even see listed as a dentist on their site. She didn’t explain anything, didn’t show me the teeth that supposedly needed work, and just began sticking me with a needle. Then, in the chair, she suddenly changed it to eight cavities instead of seven. The whole experience felt rushed, unprofessional, and left me with zero trust in this practice. I will be going elsewhere for a second opinion.
This review is about their billing only. Be careful about what you pay to them because they collect payment from patients directly and don't file claims to the insurance! This way they can collect the full charged amount instead of the insurance allowed amount (usually less than the charged amount). My husband did a major surgery there a month ago and paid $3000+ upfront. I checked with the insurance yesterday and they still haven't received the claim. I called the office today and the staff put me on hold forever after taking necessary information, in the hope that I would give up. I then hung up and called again, another (or the same) lady answered and checked the claim for me. She said the claim is still pending insurance payment so just wait. I told her that insurance didn't receive the claim, and she said the claim was filed on the day of service and she cannot tell whether the insurance received it. I can tell she was lying because her voice sounded nervous. She just didn't want to admit that they never filed the claim. Eventually she said the manager will look into my husband's account and call me back on Monday, but whether he will call remains to be seen. I will keep updating this review to show how they are going to fool me.
Amazing service! All staff members were very accommodating and nice, and my teeth look and feel awesome!
Dr. Li, Hojin and staff did an exceptional job taking care of me during my visit. They were very polite and professional. They both did a great job answering all my questions and educating me on my oral health, to minimize the need for more extensive work in the future. It was a busy day in the office, yet they managed to never make me feel rushed or had me sitting in a chair waiting to be attended. Will be recommending to friends and family.
