I had a very disappointing experience with Smile Island Dental due to misleading insurance information. Before scheduling any appointments, I called and provided my husband’s union dental insurance details and specifically asked if they accepted our plan (Delta Dental PPO). I was told yes, they accepted our insurance. Based on that information, I scheduled routine cleanings for our two children. At the appointment, they required payment up front, which was fine—this has been our experience with other dental offices. We were told they would let us know afterward how much insurance would reimburse us. Only AFTER the visits were completed did we learn that Smile Island Dental is out of network and not actually contracted with our insurance. As a result, we were left with a $1200 bill, with insurance covering only about $194 each kid —leaving us responsible for $800 for BASIC CLEANINGS. Had we been given accurate information upfront, we would never have gone there. This situation could have easily been avoided with transparent and honest communication about insurance network status. I strongly recommend others verify directly with their insurance provider before scheduling here. Very disappointing.

First time patient here and I already love coming here! Special shout-out to Miray who was my cleaning specialist and she was absolutely lovely to chat with. She was very gentle, understanding and an absolute professional at what she does. The service desk was also great at the end and a shout-out to Michelle who understood my time constraints and helped me book my next appointment without any issues. Wonderful dentist! The staff is so kind and patient, and they make every visit fun and stress-free. My child felt comfortable and left smiling. Highly recommend!

I have been a patient at Smile Island dental group for approximately five years. The office staff are welcoming and helpful. My hygienist Miray does an excellent job in cleaning my teeth. She makes me feel at ease and relaxed during the process. Dr Katie also makes me feel comfortable with her calm demeanor when discussing treatment. I don’t usually like going to the dentist but I love coming to Smile Island. If you’re looking for a new dental practice, this is the place to go!

We had an amazing experience today at smile island , Kaylee ( spelling is probably wrong ) was so sweet and helpful to my son through his filling and extraction. They explained everything to him so he wasn’t scared and they even wrote a letter for the tooth fairy ( since I didn’t want to take the teeth home lol) . We will be back for anything that comes up with his teeth . HIGHLY recommend them for kids
