Blue Oak Dental has been our dentist for years and we have zero complaints. Amazing staff and the dentists are so friendly and capable. 5/5

I had Dr. Finn. He did a great job cleaning my teeth with the assistant/hygienist. Both were very knowledgeable and helpful. 🙂

After going to a dentist in Citrus Heights that wanted to drill out 14 cavities in my daughters mouth whom had never had a cavity before Dr. Arena confirmed 2 small cavities that we could hold off on to see if they healed. He put the longevity of our teeth over his own profit, earning my trust. I and my three adult children all see him regularly now and trust that our teeth are being taken care of with honesty. Dr. Arena keeps us smiling.

Thank goodness for HONEST dentists like Dr Arena!! I moved here from out of state and a different dentist, in Folsom, told me I needed 12 (!!!!!) fillings. That sounded insane to me because I take good care of my teeth and my previous dentist, before moving, had told me my teeth were doing great. So I got a second opinion, Dr Arena. Dr Arena was knowledgeable, professional, friendly — and, most importantly, trustworthy. He told me I have 2 small cavities that he wants to watch — that the prevailing wisdom is not to fill those until they’ve gone deeper becuase they’re right at the surface level and may stay that way for years. He added that he’ll also watch 2 white fillings that are getting a bit old and stained —but also wouldn’t advise refilling those now because, every time you do, the hole gets bigger, and they are still healthy. Even if he HAD wanted to fill all those now, that’s 4 teeth, not 12. Thank goodness I went to him instead of listening to that other dentist. Dentists are healthcare providers and thankfully Dr Arena acts that way — with integrity and looking out for your health above all else!

I have been with Blue Oak Dental for more years than I can tell you. They are wonderful.

We were with Dr Arena for several years. And he is a great dentist. However the receptionist was very rude and always seem to make us feel like we're bothering them. We left Dr Arena a year ago and went to another dentist. We decided to go back to Dr Arena since he is closer to us and to give the receptionist another chance. I had a filling that needed to be replaced and asked when the soonest I could get in. The receptionist told me with my schedule the soonest was about 2 months away. She was less than helpful or caring and again made me feel like I was bothering them. Great dentist but horrible receptionist.

Dr. Arena and all the staff have been fantastic. I have four children, the youngest two are autistic, and the staff have provided superb care for all of us. I never worry about their care. I can relax. That's not the norm when you have two autistic children. We've been going there for years now, and I never plan to change that. I'm so grateful to have such wonderful care for my family.
