The staff is absolutely wonderful, from the front desk receptionists to the surgeons. From beginning to end, they thoroughly make sure that the patient is well taken care of. They are fast, attentive, responsive, and dedicated. It shows that they truly care about their patients. The work they do, is another wonder!! I came in broken, in pain, and I left with a brilliant gorgeous smile, that I’ve never had in my life. The doctors took their time and consulted with each other to make sure every meticulous step was done perfectly, the color matched perfectly, and that I was comfortable. My dental implants look so natural and beautiful, I still can’t believe it! I am so grateful for Eastman Dental and the work they do. Anyone would be lucky to be in their care.
I highly recommend Dr. Al-Sayed. He is an outstanding and highly skilled doctor. I was suffering from severe pain in my jaw joints and neck, and thanks to his excellent treatment, I have improved significantly. He truly cares about his patients, listens carefully, and explains everything clearly. I am deeply thankful for his dedication, professionalism, and the great care I received. I truly appreciate everything he has done for me.
Have spent the last 7+ months getting a single tooth taken care of. Root canal is still not complete. Had to go on antibiotics twice and another cavity formed on the adjacent tooth. Crowns temporary and more permanent have all fallen off. Insurance is now denying covering any new visits because I have been there an excessive amount of times in such a short time frame. Gave up, asked for tooth to be pulled. They insisted they are saving it and sent me home over an over again with each visit. My TMJ pain and insisting on needing more numbing during procedures were also waved away saying they're almost done every single visit. I now suffer from increased medical anxiety and have no other option for care so I have to keep coming to Eastman. I don't know what else to do other than post a review as a warning. I'm beyond distraught
I had a very mixed experience at Eastman Dental when I visited last Monday. While I was checking in, the receptionist was actively on her phone texting multiple people while I was giving private, sensitive information. It was obvious because her phone was laid flat on the desk and she continued texting as I spoke. It felt very unprofessional and uncomfortable, especially when discussing personal details. That said, the doctors were amazing. They were kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful, and they made sure I got the referral I needed. I truly appreciate their care and professionalism. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism at the front desk really took away from what could have been an otherwise great experience.
12/13/24: Dentists in my area of Monroe County were all off work on Friday. 1 said to call the Eastman Dental Center due to my urgent need for dental care. I cracked my back tooth 😫 that afternoon. When I called them, they said there was no free parking. That was incorrect! When I walked 🚶♂️ into the building, I asked Francis (Mr. Frank), a lobby desk greeter, who's worked there for over 30 years, what I should do, since I parked in the paying lot. He barked out, "Pay it". I asked him about the free parking, but he just handed me the code & said it was College Town parking. He did not explain which College Town lot or which entrance or where to go in the multi level parking garage. He was very rude & dismissive. He was nasty! Then, in Urgent Care, the dentist said they would not pull it until Monday! I could have waited ✋️ & gone to a dentist in my own town! It was upsetting. The dentist submitted a prescription for antibiotics & pain Rx but failed to tell me when & if I should take the pills 💊! I had no pain & no infection at the time! The pharmacist at Walgreens said that there were no instructions included! I came back on Monday the 16th, & a different dentist 😬 said that all they would do would be to pull out the tooth. No follow up with them. No prepping for an implant. I'd have to go to their oral surgery department for that. They could have told me that on the 13th! The whole experience was very poor & unprofessional! The dentist gave me a choice to have them pull it out in Urgent Care, with no after plan, or go upstairs to make an appointment with Oral Surgery. I went upstairs with her referral form, which caused confusion with the appointment setter because it read that I refused care! That was not accurate. The dentist gave me a choice & I chose. I did not refuse care.
The best experience I’ve had at the dentist. I have a phobia and really bad anxiety when it comes to dentist due to bad experiences. Went to get my wisdom tooth taken out. The first time i had a panic attack and couldn’t go through with it and they simply rescheduled me. Didn’t judge. I went back 2 days later and let me tell you that dentist who took my tooth out was heaven sent! Very gentle , very sweet, very understanding and walked me through the process. Told me to look in his eyes so he knows I’m okay. I felt seen and heard and i appreciate him doing more than his job. He had empathy and understood! Wish i remembered his name but i will forever be grateful because i was terrified!!
If I could rate this place negative stars I would. I usually don't come out about negative experiences but this is a WARNING to anyone going there. Don’t. Just. Don’t. I went in to the walk-in clinic to get my wisdom tooth removed. They unfortunately couldn’t do it because it was impacted. I was SO beyond grateful for the kindness of one nurse who was able to schedule me upstairs to their general dentistry; THAT SAME DAY — because I drove over about 2 hours to get there. I was TOLD I was getting the "laughing gas" (my insurance covers it) because I have such a fear of dentists. I get into the room. Was told I was not getting laughing gas. Alright okay no biggy I’ll power through…… THE MOST TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. I blacked out a few times in the chair. I was uncontrollably shaking and crying during the whole procedure. I was told nothing just given a piece of paper and sent on my way. They prescribed me amoxicillin. My chart SHOWS I'm allergic to it. I wasn't told any after care or anything. I am now sitting in the ER with my face tripled in size due to "jaw trauma" that is now cutting off my airway. I am in the most pain I have ever been in. All in all it was very traumatizing & very unprofessional.
