Costco Wholesale

This is an excellent location. The staff is kind and friendly, and returns and other issues are always hassle-free. I appreciate the variety of services; the gas prices are great, and the tire center offers high quality, speed, and good prices. And the groceries and cleaning supplies have a great variety with good prices. I shop here in person and also use the same-day delivery service, which works well. The only downside is the parking. The lot gets crowded, and it is often difficult to find a spot. Despite the parking, the service and value make it worth the trip.

I personally prefer this Costco location to the ones in Foster City, which the latter is closer to my house. This warehouse is generally bigger and carried a more variety of products. Other than that, Costco is good old Costco. They sell many products at reasonable prices. Their seasonal items are also top notch. Their gift packages are also one of my go to. Great price great value and saves me time to think of what to buy for my friends and family at this time of the year.

Victor and Vanessa at the Costco front-end returns desk have been absolutely wonderful. They are friendly, patient, and incredibly professional, making the return process smooth and stress-free. Both handled the transaction with efficiency and kindness. Their positive attitudes and teamwork truly reflect Costco’s commitment to great customer service. Large and airy Costco warehouse located in Redwood City. Wide selection of meats, wine, spirits, veggies, durable goods, baked goods, pharmacy, and electronics. Large parking lot makes it easy to find a spot. Getting out of the parking lot during busy hours can be a challenge, though.

The store like all other Costco clean well maintained but like all other Costco there was no customer service. This might be 5 if at least they acknowledge customers not a hint. Like all other Costco they were focused with handling goods and socializing to each other. But what I appreciate the most those at the front and welcoming people, those in charge in scaning membership ID also those at the exit doors. But this Costco had the most excellent service from John not sure if it’s right. He was at the exit door tall and was wearing a white shirt, we exited at around 3:35 PM He was amazing, we been to Costco thousand times and first time someone said"Thank you so much for shopping with us.". It’s sad that Costco not focus in giving an excellent service, no greeting on the floor, no smile. They were always running and rushing and even their testers, ok some of them nice but most were this I meant in Costco as general. The cashiers oh wow no smile, no greeting, always rushing , talking to co workers. Maybe some doing great a job but i only saw like two in most time I was going to Costco. The reason we don’t use cashiers anymore, the self service kiosks won’t disappoint at anytime. The worst part at the membership and the return desk. It’s like you owe them a favor in shopping at their store. Let’s go back to this location, okay there’s only one helping at the pick up line at the hotdog etc food station and took forever to help me. When I got in front, the lady did not acknowledge me and was talking to the other employee then handed me the smoothie without saying any. No smile and nothing. The smoothie we haven’t bought it for awhile but this time it’s quite sweet, it’s like just sipping sugar that’s it, got a refund with a smoothie that I had only 3 sips. Whatever, I love Costco and will continually be their loyal customer.

I come to this Costco pretty often because it’s the most convenient location for me. I live between the Foster City and Redwood City stores, and since I do a workout nearby, this one makes sense as a regular stop. The value is great. I always get good deals on things like eggs, Greek yogurt, collagen, sparkling water, and the gas prices are a big plus too. That part keeps me coming back. What’s disappointing is the overall service. I don’t expect anything over the top, but a lot of the staff seem cold or uninterested. I don’t ask for help or make a fuss. I just want a neutral interaction, but that feels like too much sometimes. One example: the last time I went, the receipt checker mumbled something I couldn’t understand, marked my receipt, and just let it dangle without handing it back. I had to reach for it myself while he looked away. It was minor, but after so many visits like that, it added up. That said, not everyone is like that. Once I was looking for a specific kind of beef jerky, and a guy stocking shelves actually stopped what he was doing to help me try to find it. We didn’t, but he made the effort, and I appreciated it. Overall, the prices and gas make it worth it, but if I had a choice, I’d rather go to a Costco where the service feels a little more human.

Well-stocked Costco with great customer service. As I was waiting for an opening in the self-check out line, the items I was purchasing were "pre-checked" out by an employee. So, when I got to the check-out, all I had to do was scan my Costco card, the items appeared automatically and I paid. Super efficient!
