FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE * First time at this location! Transferred from Pinecrest and I am so happy and grateful for the amazing level of service and education I received from my new dentist, Dr. Tamisha Denis and my dental hygienist, Karen Glosemeyer Bernard. I can’t forget the office manager, Ayshea Rivera, who accommodated an appointment with oral surgeon, Dr. Alexander Margolis the same day of my visit. Thank you ladies!

To be honest I was a little hesitant on going here - I heard mixed reviews. However, I have had nothing but amazing experiences. Ayesha is very helpful and. Pleasure to deal with. Dr. Newman and his assistant Maggie were also great. Dr. Newman was personable and educated. He did his job and did it well and efficient. He took the time to make sure it was done correctly. I enjoyed the jaw massage and kindness from Maggie the assistant, it helped making the experience better. Ayesha is a gem for real! She was helpful In finding a way to afford dental work. Great place.

Came in for a root canal expecting the worst but I was pleasantly surprised! Dr Newman and Maggie were the best. I felt no pain and the music he had in was right up my alley ☺️

I went into this office for the first time and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The front desk staff was extremely rude and unaccommodating from the moment I walked in. I was only a couple minutes late because I’m not familiar with the area, but as soon as I arrived they told me my appointment had been canceled simply because I didn’t "confirm" days before. I explained when I scheduled my appointment that I was in a lot of pain and had even called the call center beforehand, and they assured me it was fine to come in. Instead of trying to help me or find an available slot for the same day, the staff member simply rescheduled me without any empathy or effort to accommodate my situation. As a business owner myself, I believe any office especially a healthcare provider should be welcoming, compassionate, and professional. That was not my experience here. I will not be returning and will be finding another provider who values their patients and treats them with respect.

You cannot work customer service and be rude the office manager always screaming and yelling, we have called several time to address the situation. You don’t have the right to scream at someone just because their insurance doesn’t cover something and telling them that they’re driving you crazy that they should’ve called the insurance. I promise you this is the last time amAddressing this as my next step is corporate. I understand you’re miserable but don’t take it out on patients. People like you shouldn’t be holding such title

I have been very disappointed in my experience with Sage Dental Pompano, specifically. I feel like I have been overcharged for every service I have received. Every code they charge me for is never on my insurance. I have had to pay way over my insurance cost, some of the front office staff is dismissive and not customer friendly. Why are you all in the Network of our providers if you are ALWAYS going to charge more than the insurance allows!!??? The experience has not been a good one. I feel totally taken advantage of and I had no choice but to get the work done. I had a Rooot Canal and a Crown.

So I really contemplated making this review but others should know before coming here. I’ve been getting dental cleanings since forever and side note I’m a past dental hygienist so I know how certain processes work. Made an appt with the assumption that the basic cleaning would be done same day—-as how appts works at a dental office. Arrived, check in was great, up until I realized that my cleaning wouldn’t have been done. When making an appt at a dental office, you initially make an appt with the hygienist available/ time slot they are available, with the assumption that a basic cleaning/cleaning would be done during that appt. So apparently as an initial patient, only x-rays are done, no cleaning. This was not apparent when booking the appt. Receptionist told me only two hygienist were available and they’re booked for the day. Excuse me??? Then who did I book with because I certainly didn’t booked with dental assistant that took my x-ray. When I booked my appt, I booked for general cleaning/basic cleaning. I was told to come back another day for the cleaning. Major red flag. Another interesting red flag is me needing a deep cleaning. Doc said I have two cavities, nothing crazy, and bleeding. Typical and I knew I’d probably have at least one cavity as I haven’t had a cleaning close or over a year. This is where it gets crazy; the dental assistant ran the codes for payment; not the receptionist. Then she told me not to pay attention too much to how much the cost would be as the codes may not be right but the receptionist would find the right ones. The receptionist used the same codes. Total for deep cleaning is $588.20 with insurance coverage. Unbelievable. On top of me taking time of work to get a basic cleaning that didn’t get done and was told to come back for a deep cleaning that cost $588.20 is ridiculous. There has to be some unethical billing happening and I’m so serious. I’ve had several deep cleanings done in the pass, crappy insurance and never in my life, deep cleanings cost that much. Be aware of going here. Take those other 1 star reviews seriously. Additional I asked the receptionist to provide me with a copy of my dental x-rays, which she confirmed that she could do, she has yet to send them but you know what she sent, a copy of this crazy treatment plan. Aside from that the dentist was warm and personable.
