Preston Creek Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

My dentist provided me with referrals for oral surgeons to evaluate an issue. I made 2 appts, one with a surgeon my dentist sends a lot of patients to and one that my dentist has not provided referrals for but has heard positive stories (Dr. Kim’s office). Best decision I made was to book both appts because the first appt was disappointing; aside from a sweet dental assistant, the rest of the appt, including the brass demeanor of the surgeon and his pushy attitude for surgery (with disclaimer that it may not resolve my issue long term), all left a terrible impression. The experience with Dr. Kim was the exact opposite. The office is clean, new and bright, the dental assistant was nice and communicative, and Dr. Kim himself knowledgeable and honest. He took the time to explain my situation in detail, acknowledging surgery wasn’t needed, all with the utmost professionalism and even some welcomed, light-hearted humor! At my dental follow up, I shared my positive experience, in hopes that other patients can have the opportunity to receive advice/treatment from a reputable specialist like Dr. Kim.

I’m a person who will avoid surgery at all costs . With dr phill Kim and his staff, I wasn’t afraid , they make you feel safe and in good hands . The wisdom teeth procedure was in and out and I have little to no pain. This oral surgeon is amazing ! As well as his staff. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to do any wisdom teeth procedure. They will take care of you .

I wish there were more stars I can provide for Dr. Kim and his staff. I had to have surgery to get a cracked tooth extracted and have bone grafting done to get it ready for an implant. Dr. Kim explained the whole procedure to me on my initial visit and made sure I had all the information available to make the choice of treatment. After having my surgery done, I was back home within a couple of hours and have had no pain or discomfort. The quality of Dr. Kim's work is outstanding and his office staff are equally competent. This was my family's second experience at this facility and I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for Oral surgery.

Dr. Kim is amazing! His staff is so warm and kind and treated us like family! I was so worried about my daughter having oral surgery. I also had two oral surgeries at her age in order to get my braces off and the experience was a nightmare that I remember to this day. As soon as I met Dr. Kim and his staff I knew she would be safe and in the best hands. He was calm and reassuring and explained everything to us. He was so sweet and patient with my daughter. He had three nurses in the room all tending to her while she was under anesthesia. After her surgery was done he met with me again to review what he had done and his discharge instructions. Dr. Kim even gave us his cell phone number in our discharge papers and his staff encouraged me to call or text if we need anything at all. I’ve never written a review before but I was so impressed with our experience and I want to share this information with other parents so that they can use Dr. Kim and have the same amazing experience. Trusting someone to operate on my daughter was so scary but Dr. Kim went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and safe. It was the right decision, our family is so pleased with our experience and hope other unsure parents turn to Dr. Kim.

After years of being strongly encouraged to remove my wisdom teeth from my dentist and never following through, a condition developed where I needed to remove two of them. Dr. Kim and his team took extra time to explain all my options and what to expect. After being educated on all pros and cons, I decided to remove all four with sedation. I was comfortable and sound asleep during my procedure. The team gave clear education to allow me to care for the surgical sites at home. Due to this, I was able to avoid any complications. Office is spotless and efficient with little to no wait times. Don’t be like me and wait till a problem occurs. If it’s time to remove your wisdom teeth, I couldn’t think of a better place to recommend. Thanks so much to Dr. Kim and his team for taking such great care of me.

I got my wisdom teeth extracted last week. Dr. Kim was very thorough in my consultation, explained everything he was going to do, the risks and the post-op care. I was nervous about the surgery itself, but it turned out to be quick and painless (relatively) and I was able to bounce back very quickly. Dr. Kim gave me his personal phone number and made himself available over the weekend in case I had any questions. His team was very kind and professional. I'd highly recommend Dr. Kim to anyone who needs their wisdom teeth removed.

The doctor here was great but the other staff not so much. I had my wisdom teeth surgery over a year ago here and just now received a bill for over $500 (after paying what they said would be needed day of the procedure.) The bill states they need a medical denial and that my insurance wouldn't accept the claim because they were out of network, which is something they should have seen beforehand. I asked many times to multiple staff members to make sure everything was in network and good to go and they kept reassuring me everything was good. I would never have gone through the procedure with them if this was going to be the case. I called today to try to talk to someone about this and she just kept trying to blame me for it since my medical insurance was out of network. It is literally their job to check and verify insurance information beforehand so why should it be my fault that they dropped the ball? Extremely awful customer service and very unprofessional. I will never recommend this place to anyone ever again. It is on them to verify insurance and let me know beforehand, not afterwards. That is so scummy to do! I understand getting an estimate of services the day of the procedure but to completely miss that they needed a medical denial AND to not make sure my medical insurance was in network is an error on their end. Yet now I am having to face the consequences for it. This is absolutely insane and I do not recommend anyone go here unless you want to not be able to trust the staff to do their job properly then blame you for it when things don't go correctly.
