Newport Dental & Orthodontics

The staff here is professional and all personally nice. They have had comprehensive services for what I needed, like a periodontist, so I didn't have to go somewhere else. I have confidence in their recommendations. It's so hard to find a dentist you like and trust. I tried three other places in Pasadena before I found this one based on a friend's recommendation, and have now been coming for at least a couple of years

Extremely disappointing. I had to ask the nurse to use the suction straw several times during a cleaning, I was drooling all over myself. So unprofessional. I had a crown done and it was completely mishandled. The doctor didn't wait more than 2 minutes after numbing cream to star injection and immediately started working. It was the most painful appointment I've ever had. I actually started crying which never happened before. Now there's a black line(outline) where the crown is. I don't even want to come back there to fix it.

unprofessional dentist office. all documents are paper, upon enterance there are unprofessional ladies at the front that just yell "do you have an appointment" no welcome no hello. they also have ghetto music playing like if they are home. when they took me in to the back to do my x-rays the lady did not know what she was doing, she took like 20 minutes doing my x-rays. then that sat me down and the dentist came inc he looked so unprofessional and tired. he just reviewed my teeth and went over what i wanted, then he left and had the office manager maria come in and say that i have tooth bone missing and they need to do a deep cleaning. when i asked how does that happen she said she doesn’t know? like hello you work at the dentist why are you even the one telling me you’re not the doctor. they were charging me like 1370.00 for the work i wanted. i asked for a copy of the estimate and will be going to another location. i am young and take care of my teeth very well. this location is a scam they just do procedures to get money. make sure you get second advice for whatever they recommend because please tell me how a deep cleaning will fix the bone loss??? so dumb. never coming here again. i switched my insurance so fast

My experience with this place was not positive the last time. I was scheduled to do by the front staff (Ramon especially) to go for my "six month deep cleaning and general check up" and when I got there after having done the r-rays I was told that I was not going to be seen by the dentist (he didn’t even bother to come and chat at least) because it has not been six months and that I needed to come back thus, being an entire waste of my time. When I told Ramon about him making making the mistake very kindly, he did not take any accountability and tried to deviate from the conversation, very unprofessional overall. I will not be returning by the lack of care of this place.

Finding a good dentist is a real crap shoot these days. If you land on Newport Dental you have lucked out. They literally saved my son's teeth. Dr. He is amazing. Ramon in the front is the go to guy for everything. Everyone on staff is professional and courteous. This is no up sell or shill review. I found enough lousy, ripoff dentists that I know a good one when I see one. I cannot recommend Newport Dental more highly.

The dentist was nice, helpful. The tech was pleasant. The front desk staff corks use some.... something. I called several times during business hours, never to have a live person answer the phone. No one ever called back until maybe the 4th or 5th call

Terrible. This is mini-mall, storefront, corporate dentistry at its worst. We were kept waiting in a dingy room for an hour before being brought in. They took my son’s X-rays and then he briefly saw the dentist. I asked when the hygienist would be in to do the cleaning and we were told that we’d have to make a second appointment for cleaning. I’ve been visiting dental offices for over 60 years and have never heard of such a practice. The visits always include cleaning and brief check up with the dentist. No one even bothered to explain this to me when I made the appointment. This must be the new corporate dentistry business model. It’s a total waste of time. Needless to say, we won’t be back.
