I had to change dentists due to insurance reasons. I found KA Dental and scheduled an appointment. Originally, I was just to see the doctor but I was told there was a cancellation and would have a cleaning as well. Great. There were equipment issues and I had to change rooms 3 times, which isn’t my issue. I was scheduled for 9:00 and by 9:38 I offered to reschedule as to not put them behind all day. They said no, it would be ok. By the time the "hygienist" started the "cleaning" my teeth (I use those terms loosely), I looked at my watch. It was 9:48. At 9:52 she was finished. She didn’t properly polish a single tooth. During most of the "cleaning" she did it with one hand. I was curious what the other hand was even doing as it was impossible she could even be looking at the inside of my mouth. Usually they hold your cheek so they could see inside your mouth. There was no water pic to clean with, she barely scraped tartar off 2 teeth and didn’t check any other teeth, there was zero flossing done and no listerine rinse at the end. I thought she had to be a new hygienist. I was shocked to hear she is not. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. The lack of pride in work is astonishing. I spoke to the office manager and they didn’t really seem all that concerned, but I am rescheduling with another hygienist. At the beginning, the hygienist was measuring the pockets in my gums and scoring them and explained the scoring system. She scored 2 teeth one point away from the worst score. My entire life, I’ve been told how great my teeth were, so it was shocking. Twice she actually hurt me and I had to beg her to stop and she kept trying to have me agree for her to continue. She offered me an anesthetic. I told her I’ve never had to use that and I didn’t want any. Oddly enough, the doctor came in and said everything looked great. He said this before he even looked inside my mouth. I don’t know how I’m a point away from terrible gum disease and also have a mouth that looks great and doesn’t need work at the same time. The hygienist also kept touching the keyboard and other surfaces then putting her hands in my mouth. Once this year is up, I will be changing offices. These positive reviews have to be bogus. Oh and the fake plants in the room I had my "cleaning" was filthy and had a layer of dust. GROSS! Such a crazy experience! Never in my life!

This place is a scam - steer clear from them if you want to save your teeth. My daughter has been going here for a couple years now, and every time she's gone for a routine cleaning she needs a filling or they say she has gum disease and needs a special upcharge gingivitis treatment. She is in her 20s with healthy teeth and has always kept up on cleanings. She had another couple fillings done by them and when she went for her routine cleaning, the hygienist said her gum disease was horrible and the dentist said her fillings were not done correctly (THEY DID THEM) and that she would need crowns now to fix it. Was quoted a few thousand dollars. For mistakes they apparently made in the first place. Not to mention she was overcharged for the fillings come to find out they were either not billing her insurance correctly or were not in net work and lied about it. So she got a second opinion from a family owned dentistry and she did NOT need any crowns, and they did a thorough gum measurement check and her gums are not even receding her teeth are perfectly healthy. We were appalled. Thank goodness for honest second opinions, and stay away from corporate money hungry dental groups like this one.

I've never written a review for a dental hygienist before but felt compelled with Neerman Khazam. I've never had a hygienist who was so personable, professional, and polite. In addition to seeming to be genuinely happy with what she does, Neerman was thorough in her evaluation and cleaning and I trusted her advice (including her coaching me through whether or not I needed certain "extras" as part of the cleaning). While my overall visit was good (including the dentist who also seemed knowledgeable and trustworthy, and the administrative staff who were pleasant and polite), and while I was happy not to get the strong sales push for additional services (seems common in the area), it was Neerman who elevated the experience to impressive for an activity most of us dread. I highly recommend KA Dental and Neerman in particular.

I used to be terrified of going to the dentist—until I came to this office! Nelly at the front desk is so sweet and welcoming, which immediately put me at ease. The doctor was incredibly gentle—I didn’t feel a bit of pain! And Doreen, the assistant, made sure I felt comfortable throughout the entire visit. Thank you all for the amazing service! I would definitely recommend this office to anyone.

K A Dental is the best place to go to. I have so much anxiety and fear over the dentist and the staff makes my time great. Dr Manuel is very knowledgeable. Doreen and the other hygienist are absolutely amazing. Doreen is an angel and held my hand and sang to me while I was having a panic attack during my extraction and Nelly is the best at the front desk and is always so accommodating and helpful. Thank you to the best staff ever.

**update on my review** I went into the office to go over their overcharging IN PERSON since they never called me back as promised. Armed with physical proof that they over charged my mom, they finally admitted it. It only took FOUR MONTHS of fighting them. They still have yet to even file the claim with the insurance. At the office, Doreen was VERY kind and professional. Nelly, the office manager, was truly the RUDEST and most UNPROFESSIONAL person I have ever come across in an office setting. Even other patients in the waiting room could not believe how she was acting. They were horrified at Nelly’s meltdown. She yelled, slammed doors, and was so completely unprofessional. Word to the wise: double check your bills and truly to only deal with Doreen. Better yet, don’t bother going here in the first place. ***Ka Dental overcharged my elderly mother over $138 for a procedure. I’m still fighting with them to get her a refund four months later. The office staff is rude, unhelpful, and straight up lies. Nelly and Doreen both promised follow up calls and help. They never called. They never followed up. They never helped. Even our insurance company tried to help and all Ka Dental did was give the insurance company the run around. When I got all of the insurance codes they used on the claim (which they have yet to file with the insurance company four months later), I worked with the insurance company and we found that they clearly overcharged my elderly mother. What did Ka Dental do when they found this out? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Avoid this place!

I have been a patient of KA Dental for several years now and have had the privilege of going to several different locations in which all are very nice, clean, well decorated and maintained. The Palm Beach Gardens office is my main office and I am more than pleased. Nelly, the front office manager is always so personable and greets everyone with a genuine smile, plus she’s very efficient. The hygienists always do a great job with cleaning my teeth, with emphasis on Carla that educates me and is very gentle to my sensitive teeth. The entire staff is kind and Doreen is always good for a laugh, plus she did a great job on my temporary veneer. Love the staff and would definitly recommend to friends and family.
