A Smile Reborn at the Art of Dentistry I’ve had a long history with dental work—crowns, fillings, braces in my 30s—and I’ve never felt truly confident about my smile. Over time, my old dental work began to show its age, with receding gums and visible metal at the top of my crowns. Smiling became something I did cautiously, always aware of the "ugly" I saw in the mirror. Then I met Dr. K at the Art of Dentistry. He had just returned from a seminar on a new, more affordable and efficient veneer process using 3D printing. I was among the first to experience it in his practice—and what a gift that turned out to be. In just one week, I had a new set of veneers for my front eight teeth. The transformation was stunning. A few adjustments were needed, and through every step, Dr. K was present, patient, and incredibly compassionate. This wasn’t just dental work—it was artistry. Dr. K treated me with such kindness and care, making the process feel safe and even joyful. His entire team of medical assistants reflected that same spirit—professional, gentle, and genuinely kind. They made every visit feel welcoming and calm, and I always felt supported. Dr. K offered me an affordable path to a smile I never thought I’d have, and I truly feel like I look ten years younger. A smile says so much about a person. I’ve always noticed people’s teeth—and now, for the first time in a long time, I’m proud of mine. Absolute amazing dentist and office. As an orthodontist, I work closely with Dr. Kirkegaard and have seen his clinical work and patient interaction. I truly enjoy sharing patient's with Dr. Kory as I know his clinical skills are truly amazing and his patient management is always on point. The team is a close knit group that work together so well and the office culture is something special that you don't normally find in dentistry. I love Dr. Kory, but my recent experience has prompted me to give this low rating. I moved to Lawrence, in June, but decided to stay with Art of Dentistry because the drive isn’t that bad for a twice a year trip. I went in for my 6 month cleaning and checkup last week. First, I called to say I was going to beb6 minutes late, according to gps. I got a snotty response that they only held the appointment for 10 minutes. I spoke to Dr. Kory and he said he would bring it up in the next staff meeting. They were hustling trying to cut down on those people who were chronically late. Then I went to check out. It was then that they told me they no longer accepted my insurance. This should have been the related to me as soon as it was decided, but certainly before my appointment started. I got panoramic radio graphic imaging done, as they said it was time, but I could do it or not. Had I know about the insurance situation I certainly would have declined. I paid $189, for the visit, and just received a bill for another $46! Needless to say, I will be switching dentists.

Dr. Kirkegaard and his staff are the best! They are professional, friendly, and make you feel completely at ease. The office is clean, modern, and they take the time to explain everything clearly. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great dentist!"

Dr. Kirkegaard and team are the best. I don’t think I have ever met a doctor, dentist, etc as positive as him. It really makes you feel appreciated. He’s kind to his staff, personable and makes visiting a breeze. Carrie is another great member of his staff that fits right in with all the descriptors of Dr. K. Kind, personable, appreciative, etc. I would recommend this office to anyone!
