yeah, the billing practices and prices are terrible. also, they insist upon doing what they claim is a deep cleaning (over $500!) without considering if that is appropriate for the patient and what they have going on - lost a bridge after their intense cleaning when all I wanted was a basic cleaning.

Very very grateful for this place and their extremely kind staff! I have been struggling to find a good place that takes my insurance and was recommended by my insurance company to call this clinic after busting my tooth eating lunch yesterday, and this clinic was able to get me in right away, everywhere else was closing at noon, and I know not everyone can get you in same day so I was and still am extremely grateful! The staff here is truly so kind thank you guys for the great experience! Update: as of April 2025, I’m changing my reviews for financial reasons. My last appointment I didn’t realize I was being charged for a porcelain filling when I always get silver on my back teeth. This was never offered to me. When I left that day, I was never told I had a balance due. Apparently I’m being threatened collections for not paying the $212 I owe them, but all of their billing statements were being mailed to my previous address, and their emails were being flagged as spam, which doesn’t surprise me considering they look like spam. The emails come off extremely unprofessional and rude being called "unacceptable" and "unproductive", but let’s not forget, I never agreed to a porcelain filling, this was just what was provided to me, I should have been given options because like I said, I ALWAYS get silver on my back teeth, also, I’m in my mid twenties living on my own, not only do I have lots of bills to pay, but to call a small bill unacceptable and unproductive when the patient DIDNT EVEN RECEIVE notices even if there were attempts, feels unprofessional on their end. As someone who works in the medical field myself, this should be worded more professional. I dug through my junk/spam mail a few weeks back when I finally found the email of them threatening to send me to collections and report me to the credit bureau, and I’ve emailed and called numerous times to discuss financial options so I can take care of this while also being able to afford my other bills and RADIO SILENCE on their end. I get it, you have a job to do, but whoever handles the financial side of this is extremely unprofessional and disappointing.

This was my dentist for years, never had issues until had to go in for a cracked tooth. While in extreme pain, they provided a single resolution and was assured my insurance would cover the procedure but after they got done they tried to charge me over a thousand dollars as im leaving saying insurance wouldnt cover the procedure. So they lied about insurance coverage of procedure, gave no good faith estimate, and didnt bother to advise of any alternate options. Will not be going back ever and disputing the outrageous bill. Dont let them take advantage of you just because you are in pain. Go someplace that you can trust.

I had an infection in my tooth. No pain relief was given despite dentist being aware of this intense pain. I was in so much pain that I consented to an emergency tooth extraction and was told that a dental implant would be covered by insurance. I told the dentist before procedure that I was on blood thinners. No special treatment was given. Arter the exctraction I had mouth bleeding for over 24-hours before going to emergency room. I was told that the dentist should have applied medication to cause clotting to the extraction site given I was on blood thinners. Other dentists told me that it is customary to check-in with a primary physician given this circumstance of being on blood thinners. As it turns out the dental implant is not covered by my insurance. Bay Creek's price for implant was higher than that of more experienced dental implant specialists. I do believe the dental hygienists are well qualified. I also think the actual dental work was adequate. My issue is with handling insurance, higher prices and most of all, medical assessment prior to the procedure.

We were new to the area (having moved from PA), and so we were trying to find a new dentist. Rather than going to a "corporate" practice like Park Dental, we wanted something a little more personal. This office was the closest in-network provider to us that wasn't "corporate," and so we decided to give it a shot. Unfortunately, we struck out. The first main issue was the inability to get in contact with the front office in trying to schedule an appointment. I had to call multiple times because I couldn't leave a voicemail (their mailbox was full...). After numerous attempts, I finally got through and scheduled an appointment. My wife went in and was supposed to get x-rays and everything you would expect with a standard first appointment (cleaning as well). However, because she was pregnant, she was unable to get x-rays. She got her cleaning, and then the dentist merely talked to her for a couple of minutes because they weren't able to get x-rays. That was the end of the appointment. A few days later, we got a bill from them. What shocked me was that they charged us for a comprehensive exam, when they didn't even take any x-rays! We have dental insurance, and so the cleaning was covered. I called the front office to try to get this resolved, but again, it took me multiple attempts to get to someone. When that didn't work, I went in person to talk with the front office staff. I explained to them that it was ridiculous that they were charging us for a comprehensive exam when they didn't even do one. However, the receptionist said that the practice charges everyone a comprehensive exam fee the first time. Not wanting to cause any more trouble, I paid the balance, and left. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a practice.

Amazing staff, the customer service is exceptional. Informative and caring every step of the way. They’re on top of the concerns of questions I have and schedule any necessary appointments besides my cleanings in a timely manner. They stay on top of their game and would highly recommend if you are looking for grade A treatment for your teeth. I will be attending here from now on as I have been looking for a quality dentist for a while now.

This place has amazing customer service and care, after bad interactions with other offices open on Saturday they took me with only 30min left in their day to look at what could have been abscess after a root canal at a different Dental office. The receptionist was awesome, you just don't find places that still care like this anymore! A big thank you to Topel Richard W DDS, it would have been a long scary weekend otherwise. I will be continuing the rest of my care at this office for sure.
