August 2025 update: I'd like to add Dr. Han and Heather to this review, after they were so wonderful to me today during a tooth extraction surgery. They were so patient and kind and made sure that the procedure was painless. Thank you so very much! I am so glad I found this practice. --------- I had a great first visit with Dr. Sarah Lee in July 2025. Very pleased with the time she took to understand what's been going on with my teeth this year. Then she developed a plan to get things back in order. The dental hygienist and Smile Designer's front desk/billing professional, Kim were also so kind and helpful.

Very happy! Wonderful staff! Patient and kind. Kim, Heather and Dr. Lee took great care of me. Making my appointment was easy, finding the office was simple, parking was great! Dr. Lee explained everything very thoroughly which is something that is much needed in any patient care. She gave great eye contact, made sure I understood what was happening and what the plan was. It was a calm and professional experience. This will be my new Virginia dental office. Thank you for a wonderful transition from out of state.

I came to this office after a conflict with my previous dental office. The situation was serious, and the surgery didn’t go as promised. I needed surgical stitches to be removed. Dr. Han performed an x-ray, removed the stitches, and took intraoral pictures. Later, I filed a complaint with the dental board about my previous dentist and requested the x-rays and pictures Dr. Han had taken.I needed the files as an additional evidence for the dental board. The pictures were provided to me in a cropped, compressed, and altered condition. One of the pictures had undergone correction in an Apple app, according to the metadata of the files. I kept asking for the pictures in their original condition, but they were provided in the same altered form, bundled into a PDF. Only after I mentioned that I would file a HIPAA complaint if my files were not provided in their original, high-resolution form did they send me twice a "view only" email with limited access—meaning I could not resend or save them. The office manager emailed me, stating that the access was "somehow" limited. I had to cancel my upcoming appointment with Dr. Han due to a lack of trust caused by the failure to provide my records as requested. My crown treatment was also delayed because of it. I requested the pictures again, clearly stating that I would file a HIPAA complaint if the files were not provided without access restrictions. After six requests, my pictures were finally provided, but the x-ray was still missing. Dr. Han then called me personally and spoke to me in a rude, disrespectful tone, saying, "This is too much", "You should ask nicely," "You’re stressing my staff and me out," and "This is getting ugly". He mentioned his lawyer, saying that his lawyer would use certain words regarding how I requested my files. He also mentioned that if I complained, he would report me and that other dental offices would be notified about "unfriendly" patients who complain. When I asked what he meant by mentioning his lawyer and other dental offices, he said, "We don’t want to go that far." The office violated HIPAA and then tried to intimidate me after breaking the rules. No medical provider should ever speak to any patient this way. Edited after response from office: I attached the emails from Dr. Han. While it's true that no treatment was completed, it is not accurate to say that no treatment was ever begun. I had a scheduled appointment for crown scanning, which I waited two weeks for, and only canceled due to the unprofessional behavior I encountered from your staff — I lost two weeks of my time waiting for the scan body to be ordered by you and waited for my appointment. I’ve documented every step of this experience and will continue to pursue a resolution through appropriate channels just because you responded that my review is "untrue comments." This comment is just a refusal to take accountability. I can prove everything I mentioned.

I honestly don’t know how I got so blessed to have the most amazing, caring, professional, and quite honestly the best dentist of all times. Dr. Han is hands down the best Dentist. I have a fear of Dentist and I won’t lie. I was very scared. The first time I went to him. And he knew I was nervous and he took his time with me and walked me through every procedure that he was doing and this Man took away all my fears. If you want hands down, I wish there were more stars than five to put on here. This is the dentist you wanna go to I promise you, you will not regret it. Thank you, Dr. Han for making my smile. Your perfection and caring is very rare these days. And Kim, the office manager and his assistant hands-down the nicest. Everyone in his office is professional and they truly care about you and your health and your teeth. 100+ best Dentist around!!!

Dr Lee is just amazing. I can’t express that enough. I’ve always had massive dental fears, and the condition of my teeth didn’t make my anxiety about it any better. Dr Lee didn’t bash me for neglecting my mouth. She made me feel comfortable and fully explained a treatment plan. She’s very caring about your comfort while you’re in her chair. The entire staff is wonderful. They truly treat you like you’re an old friend. When I was trying to find a new dentist I went in full of terrifying fears, but I really needed a dentist. Kim at the front desk talked with me for at least an hour about anything and everything until I was comfortable enough to make an appointment. It’s been almost a year now, and I’ve had a ton of work done. My mouth looks, and feels great. I now schedule appointments without hesitation, and no longer dread the visits. They are still just as wonderful as when I first arrived.
