Layton Dental

I had a great experience today as I went in to have a cracked tooth checked on. Upon examination, Dr. Pitcher was very thorough in explaining the various choices and outcomes for me. Once I made my decision to go ahead with a crown, he and his staff were very kind in ensuring my comfort and careful in working with my ornery jaw as they worked on my tooth. I was very happy with the quick and successful outcome. I did not anticipate getting everything taken care of in one visit so that was very convenient! Their office staff were knowledgeable and helpful as well. I would recommend this dental crew to friends and family. My husband and I have been going for there for a few years now and have been happy with their care.

I loved the experience I had here I didn’t feel like they were rushed, they listened to all my concerns and gave great suggestions for whitening and my TMJ issues. I was so happy to leave with my teeth looking so clean and white after my cleaning taking off the plaque I had. It was a very successful appointment and I loved the people and the environment. They really made me feel taken care of.

Poor service. Poor training. I switched to this Layton Dental a year ago. When I arrived at my most recent appointment, I was met with a 20 minute wait after arriving on time. My appointment was at 4:00 and the assistant did not come to get me until 4:20. The assistant seemed very inexperienced and missed a few of my back teeth while flossing. She did not seem well trained. The lack of training was exhibited by splashing a good amount of water on my face and neck. She also didn’t know how to enter the data into the computer. Additionally, she did not do x-rays or measure my gums. I understand that everyone has to learn in a new position, but I was surprised that no one was overseeing her. The hygienist was great. I’ve had Dr Pitcher in the past, but I had Dr Gardner this time and he was phenomenal. However, the distant laughs and giggles of a group of young female employees soured the experience. Not only in this visit, but also in my previous visit, I heard giggling while in the waiting room and while the assistant cleaned my teeth. They talked about doing tik toks and sounded like they were dancing around. It felt very unprofessional. Again, I really appreciate Dr. Gardner and Dr. Pitcher. They are both great. I bring these things up because I would love to see improvement and believe that Layton Dental has a lot of potential.

I've been going to Dr. Gardner for over 10 years now (now Layton Dental) and they are just phenomenal. The dentists are always amazing, I've been to Dr. Pitcher as well as Dr. Gardner. They are honest, kind and welcoming. The hygienists are incredible. I've had the same hygienist, McKenzie, for many years and she is great and always nice to talk to, kind, genuine and friendly. Everyone I have interacted with here has made my appointments a positive experience. We drive further to this dental office because my husband and I have had bad experiences with other offices including popular chains that where closer to us, one that literally was 50 feet from where we lived. We totally love it here. One thing I love the most is the dentists always tell you exactly what's going on and why. They tell you if they are watching a tooth and why. They don't just spring things on you with no explanation like oh, now you need 5 fillings even though I constantly brush and floss and get regular check ups(other dentists have said things like that to my husband and I) and all my other check ups have been fine. They are honest and treat you like a real person that they care about, not like someone they can weasel money out of. Thank you Layton dental. I tell everyone about them if they are looking for a great dentist!

I have been going to see Dr. Gardner and his staff for 20 years. He is so kind and honest with his work. I have never been more grateful that I found a dentist who is not only very professional but friendly. Highly recommended:)

I’ve been coming here and seeing Dr Pitcher for a little over a year. By far the best experience I’ve had in years. Great staff. Thorough care. I feel like they enjoy are passionate and knowledgeable. Thanks for the great service! I’m planning on continuing to go for years to come.

I am extremely, extremely fearful of the dentist! Dr Pritchner was kind, calm, and patient the entire time. He explained everything, never rushed me, and even told me I could blast my music to help stay relaxed. I never felt judged or pressured. If you have dental anxiety, I can’t recommend this office enough.
