Dr. Acherman and her team are truly amazing! She throughly explained all of my treatment and answered any questions I had! Fausto and Cony were amazing in getting me checked in and going over what my insurance covers. Overall a great team who knows what they are doing. Will be recommending friends and family here!

Extremely disappointed with my visit to this office. I came in for a simple routine cleaning, and instead I was pressured from the moment I sat down. Dr. Maria Acherman refused to perform a regular cleaning and insisted that I "must" get a deep cleaning without showing any proper periodontal measurements or clear medical explanation. The receptionist made the experience even worse — she was pushy, aggressive, and kept repeating that I had "no choice" but to accept the treatment. It felt less like a healthcare visit and more like a sales pitch. I was uncomfortable, rushed, and not listened to at all. I’ve had the same gum condition for over 10 years with no issues, and I know what real periodontal problems look like. The way they used AI images to exaggerate things and pressure me into expensive procedures was unprofessional and misleading. They refused to do the cleaning I came for unless I agreed to the costly treatment. No explanations, no options, no respect for my decision. I left the office without any actual dental care and with a very negative experience. I do NOT recommend this office if you want honest, patient-centered dental care.

I have had the best experience at this office! The Dental Hygienist, Tina, is the best Hygienist I have ever seen. She is patient, informative and very concerned about my dental needs! The office staff is always welcoming when I arrive and are friendly and easy to work with. I would highly recommend this office to anyone!

All the staff at this office have been very helpful; My initial appointment with Dr. Ackerman was half the cost then my previous dentist. Yes Dr. Ackerman did recommend me deep cleaning which I did as I know I had gum receding and deep pockets which needed gum treatment. I initially came to Gentle Dental for a second opinion on my gums and was referred to Dr. Kallaos for gum flap surgery. I had surgery on the left side end of September which went better then expected!

I scheduled my first appointment at this dental office for a simple cleaning, and the experience was terrible. After waiting 30 minutes to be seen and another 30 minutes for X-rays, the doctor immediately recommended thousands of dollars additional treatments. When I declined these expensive treatments, the doctor refused to clean my teeth, claiming it was "too late" and asked me to schedule another appointment. This office clearly prioritizes upselling costly procedures over patient care. If you’re looking for a dentist who respects your time and provides the service you booked, do not go to this office.

Lack of follow through. Unresponsive after my visit. I randomly walked in to this location after a doctors appt to inquire about getting implants. Although, the front office staff was very informative and kind. I was supposed to hear back regarding a quote. I waited a week and never got anything. I called to follow up and a girl told me they didn’t have my email? When initially that’s how they told me they were going to reach out to me. I then provided my email and yet nothing. I never got I quote via email or oh call. They pretty much ghosted me. I was needing to get implants and wanted to hear back/ so the disappointment when they never followed through was great.

Indifferen? Incompetent? Unprofessional? Or all three? Following is an actual email message that I sent Gentle Dental in Irvine, CA on 12/18/25. They NEVER returned my phone call. They NEVER replied to my email message. What do you think? I urge you to run, not walk, away from Gentle Dental. Dear Gentle Dental Representative, Please cancel this appointment. Gentle Dental has failed to address my concerns and questions prior to starting treatment. If you cannot follow through on simple, routine matters, you cannot be trusted with my professional dental care. I requested pain medication (twice). You didn't issue a prescription. You never offered an explanation why you feel a prescription for pain medication isn't warranted. I requested clarification about the start date for the prescribed antibiotics. You failed to provided it. I requested my treatment plan. You failed to provided it.
