I brought myself and my 16-year-old daughter to this office we saw DR.LEE for a routine PPO-covered cleaning, which should have been fully covered with no copay. Although the dentist did explain what he saw on the X-ray and why antibiotics might be needed in the future if an infection progressed, the rest of the visit raised concerns for me that I believe other patients should be aware of. Despite coming specifically for a basic cleaning, neither of us received one, and no clear explanation was provided as to why a standard preventive cleaning could not be performed. Instead, we were recommended gingival scaling (D4346) for both myself and my daughter, but the purpose and clinical justification for this type of cleaning were not clearly explained to us by the staff. There were no gum measurements, no discussion of bleeding points, and no clear reason given for skipping a regular cleaning. A CBCT 3D scan was also added to the treatment plan, yet it wasn’t explained why this more advanced imaging was necessary for a routine visit. This additional procedure generated a $25 copay for each of us, even though our insurance covers cleanings at 100%. We came in for preventive care and unexpectedly left with charges for add-on services we did not request. The dentist told me his staff would further explain the treatment plan, but the staff were unable to answer my questions. Because the explanations were incomplete, I decided not to move forward with treatment until I could review the X-rays, get an itemized bill, and seek a second opinion. Once I asked for these items, the interaction felt noticeably uneasy, which made me even more concerned about the lack of transparency. I am writing this review so other patients feel comfortable asking questions and ensuring they understand why certain procedures are being recommended especially when a routine cleaning is skipped and more costly procedures are suggested. Transparency and clear communication are essential in dental care. Unfortunately, that was not my experience during this visit.

I had such a great experience at High Desert Smiles! Easy online check in process. I came in for a cleaning and also found that I need a filling, and they were able to take care of both the same day — just a couple of hours total. Donna was super friendly and made me feel really comfortable from the moment I arrived. Dr. Lee was very knowledgeable, took the time to answer all my questions, and gave reasonable, honest recommendations for my dental work. I really appreciated how efficient and caring the whole team was. Definitely recommend this spot if you’re looking for a dentistry that is both professional and personable!

Friendly service and everything was well communicated. Mayra was wonderful. Dr. Lee was nice and clear about my treatment plan. The hygienist wasn’t available so I’ll have to come back for my cleaning but they did apologize for this.

All I can say is I have never been so satisfied at the dentist. This was first visit and the oral surgeon here at this location is a real professional. He was so smooth I still cant believe he pulled that tooth out. His assistant said "it's like magic but in real life" I couldn't have said it better. I highly recommend this location, all of the staff is friendly and polite. Now that I think about this is the first time ever that the surgeon was also my anesthesiologist. I felt and feel no pain.

So far, so great experience compared to my last experience. Very professional and provided everything I needed to move forward. Very accommodating. Thank you. Dental visits can be stressful and they made it comfortable.

For the first time in many years I finally found a dentist office I feel comfortable going to. The office was clean and the staff were amazing. The dental assistant Donna was extremely comforting. Once I told her how nervous I was to be there she made me feel better and safe, also Dr Bautista welcomed me and took great care of my dental treatment.

Excellent customer service, the team today helped me on such short notice and provided informative information. Regarding my concerns. Special thanks to the receptionists that helped me today
