Pediatric Dental Specialists of West Michigan

We found this amazing office after our daughter needed her lip tie released. Because she was over a year, that limited where we were able to have this procedure done. We called the office and they were all informed, kind, and explained procedures, costs, what to talk with insurance about (and more) without me even needing to ask them. When we arrived to the office on procedure day, they were so kind and welcoming. The hygienist/assistant sang with me to help keep my daughter calm, and Dr. Katie had that same warm spirit. As a mom who knew I couldn't be present for the procedure itself (which I totally agree is necessary for a successful procedure for the staff and my daughter alike), it made me feel so much more peaceful seeing every member of the staff loving on my daughter as if they had known her from birth. My only request would be a coat rack for the winter, haha! And who knows, maybe I just missed it 😉 Thank you to all the team that has worked with us! It's been an amazing experience!

The staff are friendly, comforting, and communicate well. Dr. Katie is a no-nonsense, straight-to-the-point kind of provider and enabled us to be able to feed our newborn son with much more ease. So grateful we were seen and treated by the team here.

I had a wonderful experience with my infant son who needed frenectomy procedures. The office is beautiful and all staff were warm and welcoming. Upon entering the office, there was a sign with my son‘s name on it, welcoming him to the office for his first visit. Dr Katie was very kind, educational and reassuring. After his procedure, we spent time in a very well equipped and comfortable nursing room which was a nice feature. Communication throughout scheduling and follow up was also great. Highly recommend this office!

I found PDSWM on a Google search of my own. Our family dentist’s preferred place for frenectomies was no longer excepting patients over 12months. They also were not willing to recommend a reputable place to turn too either. At that point I took it upon myself to find a specialist. A few months later after looking throughly for a specialist who uses a Laser and works with kids I chose PDSWM. I sent their info to our dentist and she approved right away. Sent in the referral which was accepted by PDSWM very quickly and within hours I had an appointment for my son to get a consultation and procedure (tongue tie release) in the same appointment within in the coming month. They were very upfront on price and had a very thorough questionnaire. During the appointment they were quick, informational and checked for all the ties during the consultation. They did the procedure that same day and made sure we were okay with the how they did the process before proceeding. We were also shown the exercises to preform after the procedure and I love that the follow up appointment is not a separate cost. They also do a 24 hour check-in over the phone, making sure the child is doing okay and if we had any questions or concerns. Overall, the experience has been so good that I contacted them again for my daughters lip tie release.

The staff and employees are wonderful, the office is beautiful however the prices are astronomical compared to others. My 5 year old had an infected tooth and was uncomfortable. We were told it would be a month long process (2 additional appts after the consult), and with insurance would be close to 3k. I found another pediatric ortho for a second opinion before moving forward and they treated her tooth on the spot, and it was only $54.00 The other ortho had great reviews, and was just as close. I will pay whatever and do whatever I need to for my children, but almost a 2800.00 difference blows my mind, esp when my daughter was treated at the other orthodontist immediately, returned to school and was no longer in any pain. The staff and specialists were warm and wonderful, and made my daughter feel comfortable, I think she even had fun 🙂 The prices and uneccesary recommended treatments is why we won't be back.

We were looking for a dentist for my daughters emergency cavity. Pediatric Dental Specialists were great. I love the care and time they put into each child. My kid loves that she's able to watch her shows while being treated and it's been a very comfortable interaction. I love this place

I brought my infant son to the office for a procedure and had a great experience. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly, the space very nice, new, and inviting, and they were super timely at all of our appointments. I would highly recommend to anyone with children needing dental care!
