Dental Art Specialists

My daughter has very big feelings about going to the dentist and is terrified of any and all procedures. We were referred to a pediatric dentist for her to get two of her baby teeth extracted, so, having heard great things about DAS, we went to see Dr. Alex. He was so funny and chill with both her and I, he was definitely not phased by her crying before and throughout the procedure, and he even allowed me to stay in the room to hold my daughter's hand. I appreciated his confident, yet gentle approach. We got through it thanks to Dr. Alex! Bonus, ALL of the staff is friendly and personable!

I was homeless on the streets (emotionally), surviving off vibes, questionable snacks, and one shoe that didn’t match. Dr. Alex found me during this dark era and somehow got me back on my feet using nothing but calm energy, elite problem-solving, and what I assume was pure competence. So when I found out he’s also a dentist, it was an immediate trust transfer. If a man can save me from that version of my life, I fully believe my teeth are in excellent hands. 10/10 human, immaculate aura, would recommend without hesitation.

Dr. Jaz and staff were personable and efficient. I came to Dr. Jaz for treatment as she has the Solea laser that allows her to do fillings on patients without having to place anesthesia. My son who is 17 is difficult to get numb to do procedures. He was able to get his fillings done quickly using nitrous and the laser. We will be back soon to complete his remaining work.

I love Dr Jaz and the staff. My kids enjoyed coming here. The one star is for the orthodontic care. My biggest complaint is with the explanation and finances for orthodontic care. We have now paid for two orthodontic treatments ($4000 a pop - luckily insurance covered half. ). Initially it was a jaw expander ($4k) and "we will keep an eye on it." Then it was "hey, she needs braces". $4k more. Yes, that’s why we wanted braces the first time around. Then at the end of braces - you now have to pay some more out of pocket for retainer checks, and btw you can’t come to the Evanston location anymore. Also, just an fyi they don’t do permanent bonded retainers. Feeling frustrated.

I love this place! My son has been coming here for 3 years now, or more, and I’ve never had a poor experience. Dr. Jaz is so personable and warm and it made my shy guy so comfortable. Dr. Melvin provides friendly and thorough care.

I want to say that for my first time attending Dental Arts Specialists the experience was amazing! My daughter had a tooth with a bad cavity that was causing her pain therefore she had to get it removed and they were able to do it the next day after calling them to book an appointment. They were able to accommodate me and take care of it all in one visit. I am so grateful and I highly recommend this office for your kiddos! 5 ⭐️! And not the mention the staff was amazing! They were super professional and friendly!

My daughter has had some tooth trouble. And we needed a dentist immediately. Not even being established patients they took care of our emergent situation right away. They were kind, considerate and had wonderful communication through the whole procedure. We came back for some more work to be done. From the receptionist welcoming us when we came in, then the technician walking to the room for her procedure we felt welcomed and cared for. The dentist came into our room, greeted us and explained to my child everything would happen in terms she would understand. She was spoken to like she was the star! The Dentist then spoke to me about what would happen. The dentist and technician checked in on my child throughout the whole procedure, telling her about the different sounds she would hear, and what she would be feeling. The dentist clearly explained how she would feel in the next couple of days and what to look for if anything should be wrong. We highly recommend Dental Art Specialists! We look forward to continuing our dental relationship with them. To the team at Dental Art Specialist, thank you for making my child feel like a Rockstar!
