Cleveland Dental Institute - Shaker Blvd

I scheduled my appointment a week in advance and arrived promptly at 4:30 pm, the time I was given. When I got there, the door was locked, no staff were present, and no one contacted me with any updates or cancellations. The experience was extremely unprofessional and disorganized. I will not be returning, nor will I recommend this place to anyone.

I drove 1hr 27mins away & I was dealt with by rude receptionist. i had my appointment planned for a month now I called consistently, 4 times total to confirm i can receive the care I needed.. the time for the appointment comes and I get to my appointment.. & I am told i cannot receive the care. when i entered the facility i was NOT greeted with hello or how can i help you. i was directed after i said hello, Goodmorning to give my last name. the man after me walks in and he receives a yellow how are you and why he came today. very uninterested in getting me checked in. and very uninterested in trying to help me find the care i need. 0/10 For someone to drive this far with her child, i was very disappointed and very insulted that i wasn’t welcomed to a new facility for me and my children. As i am typing a Mother and her child come in smiling ear to ear as i previously entered the facility and once again they were greeted exceptionally personal.

My inital visit was in July 2025 my dentist referred me to them for an extraction. When I met the dentist he asked me a ton of questions about my health and whose decision was it to pull my tooth. I said it was my own decision. He didn't like that answer. Ultimately; I was turned away twice due to my blood pressure being too high. I was told I needed medical clearance from my PCP. I got clearance but they couldn't get me in for a month out after I had already waited a month to be seen. Recently, my tooth began to cause me much pain. I called the office to see if I could be seen sooner than my appointment date due to pain. I was told no openings available. My tooth is still around and now its infected. I have found another dentist, I'm hoping to have a positive experience than with these people. I don't know what's wrong with this place they don't help; just make the situation worse. I would NOT recommend this place at all.

Dr. Kallaf Mustafa was great! I came in experiencing a lot pain. Today the pain is completely gone. Thank you CDI SHAKER for taking care of me.

From the staff to the doctors everyone is always so pleasant. The manager Branee (Ms. Bre) always goes above and beyond! I appreciate everything she does for me. She's the absolute best!

CDI IS FANTASTIC. I CAME IN FOR AN EMERGENCY TOOTH PULLING AND I CAN HONESTLY SAY MY EXPERIENCE WAS NOTHING BUT PLEASANT FROM THE TIME I WALKED IN TO THE TIME I WALKED OUT. THE RECEPTIONIST WAS SO KIND AND HELPFUL, THE MANAGER BRANEE WAS SO PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL AS WELL. I STARTED TO HAVE A ISSUE WITH MY INSURANCE AND PAYMENT AND BRANEE WAS VERY HANDS ON, GETTING MY ISSUE RESOLVED.NOT TO MENTION MY DENTAL PROFESSIONAL THAT TOOK CARE OF MY TOOTH,WAS SO SHARP AND HAD A SOFT, WELCOMING TOUCH. I RECOMMENDED THIS OFFICE OVER THE OTHERS SIMPLY BECAUSE ITS A ENVIRONMENTALLY PLEASING LOCATION.

After waiting three months for a spot to open for my wisdom tooth removal, I received a call and the lady that called me was unsure if I had to be there when an oral surgeon was present for my surgery, so she said she would call me back. After two months I hadn’t received a call back so I called to schedule the appointment myself. As my appointment was approaching, I had not received a call informing me of any instructions so I tried to call and kept receiving their answering service - who had no idea what I was inquiring about and kept giving me the same number to call when I asked to speak to the office. You cannot get ahold of this specific office. The day of my surgery, I was rudely greeted by the front desk staff, and I was also told that I could not receive nitrous oxide during my procedure because the machine was moved to a different location, but as I was leaving the establishment, someone was being put on the laughing gas-very disappointing that I was lied to by the staff. This is rather unsettling to hear the day of the procedure, especially when my wisdom teeth were heavily impacted and it would already be a rough process getting them out. The oral surgeon was also present the day of my surgery, so I was lied to by whoever I spoke to on the phone to make my appointment because she told me the surgeon would be out until September. Once I returned to this establishment for my check up post surgery, a resident from Columbus was doing my check up and the staff bringing me back were remarking about how they had no idea who he was or what his name was. I asked why the same doctor that did my wisdom teeth removal would not be checking them, and the staff told me that she was not in the office that day. As I was leaving, she came out to greet me and asked how everything was going, so I was LIED TO a total of THREE times by this staff. Not to mention, I was told that I needed to schedule another follow up appointment and when I returned there, the dentist told me she was not sure why I had to return for another appointment because my healing process was going well and I was just there the previous week for a check up. The only positive to this location is Dr. Shahad. She is very thorough in her practice and extremely polite. She is the only reason I felt comfortable returning. The rest of the staff is dishonest, and this location is just out to scam their customers out of as much money as they can.
