Customer Reviews
Costco Wholesale has a rating of 4.4 out of 5 based on over 2897 reviews on Google
I usually buy meat and seafood at Costco. At least here, there is a guarantee of quality and food safety. The Kirkland brand of Costco has good quality and reasonable prices.
I went to this facility to order a birthday cake for my daughter. I was confused when I saw the kiosk to order and asked a baker Jen to assist me. Not only did Jen patiently help me with my order while I phoned my daughter to get some information, she baked and created the most incredible cake we ever saw and tasted. I cannot thank her enough for such kindness and care. Jen is truly an expert at her art and a gem to have in your store.
I've been there two times since my sister received the membership last year; it's kinda out of my way, but planning on going there more often. The wholesale club is clean, well organized and stocked, floor personnel and cashiers are also knowledgeable, courteous and friendly, ready to help. I love all the displays, the seasonal isles and regular isles. They sell a lot of cooked food, heat and serve trays, pans, containers. The food is excellent, tasty and delicious. I was surprised to find kimchi and cooked seaweed, two of my favorite Asian cuisine healthy foods, placard of smoked salmon, lots of other cooked foods, meats section is well stacked, I've got beef cubes for stewing and pork, chicken and fish. The wholesaler is ready for Christmas, the seasonal isles were packed with lots of items. Electronics section has a lot of items, from big screen TV to tablets, laptops, cellphones, big rig gaming desktop computers with the new generation of processors AI integrated. Household supplies and related items, power generators, all kinds of luggage and carriers including rifle bags and range backpacks, batteries, strong LED flashlights. There's a lot of sampling stations where serving personnel are giving you different foods and drinks to try. Prices are not bad for wholesale type business; if you have a big family or planing on entertaining for holidays, Costco is highly recommended for food items as well as for catering needs since has trays with cooked food, sandwiches trays, appetizer trays, starters, shrimp cocktail, soups, salads, bruschetta, crab cakes and other hors d'oeuvers. The only issue is that the place is extremely busy on weekends, despite the fact that has a huge parking lot sectioned around the warehouse, it took me 10 minutes to finally find a spot to park, also very crowded outside so be patient driving, very crowded inside so be patient with the other fellow shoppers and with the store personnel, especially the store personnel and cashiers, think about 30 to 40 shoppers per one store personnel in matterof hours, so please give them the benefit of the doubt if you're thinking they are rude, because they are not, they are there to serve us the shoppers and to keep things smoothly, so no complaints, furthermore, get a job at Costco for a month, and I bet most of us won't be able to deal with that retail stress, especially around holidays. Plan to go during weekdays if possible, but since is the holidays season for shopping it is very crowded, since they've got the awesome deals and goodies. Highly recommended wholesale, you won't regret it.
I visited the store during my recent visit to the US. Found it to be one of the finest wholesale consumer stores. The prices are comparatively cheaper when one makes quantity purchases in bulk instead of retail buying. The store offers membership discounts. The annual membership fee is 30 USD and the reward is 2 percent for purchases of 1000$. Entry to the store is only to the members. Non members can only buy a few Pharma items.
I had an incredibly uncomfortable and unnecessary experience at Costco during checkout. The cashier asked me a question that I genuinely didn’t hear. When she repeated it, she did so with a very condescending tone, and immediately after began muttering under her breath, calling me stupid. It was shocking, weird, and completely uncalled for. Things only got worse from there. I handed her what I thought was a gift card, but it turned out to be the receipt for the gift card. Instead of calmly voiding my items and asking me to pull to the side to figure out where the actual gift card was (and why it was never emailed to me), she aggressively told me that I HAD to pay for my items. The entire interaction was awkward and humiliating. Obviously, I wasn’t about to run out of Costco with a cart full of groceries. Eventually, another employee—who was actually kind and competent—stepped in and immediately figured out the issue. The whole situation could have been resolved easily and respectfully from the start. Instead, it turned into unnecessary emotional abuse. I’m sure this cashier is a miserable person who hates her life, but that is not my fault. The world is already cruel enough—why choose to add to that for absolutely no reason? I genuinely feel sorry for anyone who has to work with her and just has to keep their mouth shut and roll their eyes when she’s not looking. On a positive note, the manager was very sweet, listened to my concerns, and handled the situation professionally. Unfortunately, that doesn’t erase the fact that this was some of the worst customer service I’ve experienced at Costco.
I am writing to share a very frustrating experience I had at one of your locations regarding membership sign-up and your auto-renewal policy. On Sunday afternoon (around 2:00 p.m.), I signed up for a membership at the membership desk. After I had already paid for the membership, the employee assisting me – an older Asian woman working at the desk – repeatedly insisted that I had to put a credit or debit card on file for auto-renewal in order to receive my membership card. When I questioned this, she told me that having a card on file for auto-renewal was "policy" and implied that I could not complete my membership without it. I found this to be unprofessional, misleading, and honestly very intrusive. It felt less like customer service and more like being strong-armed into something I did not want and did not agree to. To be clear: I was already paid in full for my membership. I was told I "had to" put a card on file. I was told this was Costco "policy," which, if not true, is a serious misrepresentation. If auto-renewal is optional, it should be clearly presented as such, not forced on customers or misrepresented as mandatory. No customer should be lied to or pressured about storing their card information just to complete a membership they’ve already paid for. I’m asking that this incident be reviewed and that the staff at this location be reminded of the correct policy and the importance of being honest and transparent with customers. I would also appreciate a response clarifying whether auto-renewal is in fact optional, as I believe it should be. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. (CHERRYHILL , NJ LOCATION)
This store is insanely crowded and so busy, and the customer base is often quite rude; just stopping and standing in front of you to hang out and grab free samples and stare at things in the middle of the aisle or running into you with their carts then giving you dirty looks. My whole family dreads going here. That being said, as the store can only do so much about that, it's generally well stocked and clean and the selection is pretty regular. Not quite as regular Sam's club, but good.
