I had a great experience with Dr. Banavar at SmileOn Dentistry. The office at Smile One was clean and pleasant. The staff member at the front desk was so helpful with my insurance questions. Dr. Banavar took the time to explain everything. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a professional and caring dental team.

So there is a prepopulated piece here that I'll leave. "Dr. Yeh and the staff were fantastic. The staff was pleasant, professional, and welcoming. Dr. Yeh was incredibly skilled and clearly explained my options as well as why he was making his recommendation." I do want to add that Dr. Banavar and Dr Chandana are also excellent to work with. I found SmileOn after an emergency with a crown breaking. What I like about them is that not only are the doctors professional and talented, but the front office is managed very well and they have great communication, leveraging text, phone, and email tools to their benefit. I have had a few appointments in a short time since my crown incident, and each service has been comfortable, quick, and well performed. If you are in search of a new dentist in the area, I highly recommend.

The front desk staff were kind and helpful with setting up my appointment as a new patient. Unfortunately, the rest of my experience was a nightmare. I’ve been to dozens of dentists throughout my life, and I’ve never experienced anything like this. It felt as though many of the employees were not properly trained, and I wouldn’t be surprised if some weren’t even certified. The dental hygienist used the wrong XCP ring size, which made the X-rays extremely painful — it felt like my mouth was being shredded. I’ve also never had more than 15 X-rays taken in a single visit, which was concerning and was likely due to the incorrect setup she used at first. The cleaning itself was careless; it genuinely felt like a child was doing it. Several areas were missed, and I even left the chair with floss still hanging from my teeth. When the doctor checked for deep pockets in my gums, she was so rough that it left me in significant pain. To top it off, they waited until I was already ready to leave before asking if I wanted fluoride. Overall, this was the worst dental experience I’ve ever had. It only took one visit for me to know I would never return. The staff seemed unqualified, and both the rooms and equipment looked noticeably outdated.

As a girl with a lot of dental anxiety, please avoid SmileOn. I initially came here because of the high reviews and great things said. Well, I did not feel comfortable in their office and felt ridiculed by the girls at the front desk because I hadn’t been to a dentist in years prior to coming here (because of said anxiety) and they made me feel like crap about it. My experience at this dentist office include getting a cavity filled and being numbed and puffy for DAYS and it hurt to eat anything for weeks, a different cavity filled that turned into a root canal (horrible experience), and the other cavity I got filled just COMPLETELY popped out of my mouth this morning while flossing, less than a year after it was done. I paid SOOO much money on top of having dental insurance and that was only for the left side of my mouth. I went to a different dentist and all the other "cavities" smileon told me I had, this dentist did not agree. Like be so for real smileon did you just scam me and lie!?! A cavity I did however have on the other side of my mouth took way less time for a fraction of the cost and I had no problems after the fact. I never even write reviews but I feel like since all I see here are 5 stars it’s important to let the people of google know it’s not always a five star experience, you will not catch me back here. There are plenty of other dentists around NOVA and Centreville specifically.

Dr.Yeh is excellent and knowledgeable today was my third visit and each time I’ve come so far I feel like I was taking well care of, he’s also patient and explains everything, nothing felt rush. Front desk girls are kind and welcoming also!

Good dentist office. Front desk staff polite and knowledgable. Teeth cleaning experience not so great. I’ve had a different hygienist with varying degrees of experience every time I’ve gone there. Never the same one twice. Is there a shortage of qualified candidates? I also find Dr. Banavar somewhat abrupt and caustic. She repeatedly chastised me for not showing up every 6 months and finished the cleaning in a way that caused me pain, which has never happened to me before. I was glad to get out of there and will not be scheduling with her again.

Today I had a mega molar 🦷 extracted. Yes, People, it was an SOB (pardon my French.) All hail to the beautiful and talented Dr. Lee and her darling, hand-holding, trusted dental assistant! It was practically painless - and that includes getting the shots of novacaine, as she pretreated with lots of numbing gel! I suggest that you request the sour apple flavor - it’s "numby"! I wholeheartedly suggest that you try Dr. Lee and friends at Smile On for all of your dental needs! It literally couldn’t hurt!
