Dr. Chionchio was the best! The billing/admin team, however, has unfortunately been a nightmare. I was incorrectly charged at another dentist office (that I was referred to by Dr. C, fyi) for a scan they did not actually perform leading to insurance rejecting the proper claim from this office. Please note this office also waited about 3 months to actually submit the claim, but I digress. After several hours on the phone with insurance I figured out what happened, contacted the other dentist office and got it sorted out. I communicated all of this to the Park Slope team via the phone and email and explained they would need to resubmit the claim but it would be covered by insurance. I continue to receive invoices even 8 months later and each time I call it’s as if 1) they’ve never heard of such a thing and 2) have no record of me explaining this to them at least 5 times and documented in emails and talk to me as if I’m the confusing one. They do not take any accountability that all they have to do to be paid is resubmit their claim. Reading through the negative reviews it seems to be quite the pattern. So great surgeon but not sure it makes up for the waste of time the office staff put you through.

I had two failed root canals elsewhere and developed a severe jaw abscess. My appointment with Dr. Chionchio was supposed to be the next day, but when I came to his office in severe pain, he took me between cases and gave up his break to treat me. That alone says everything about his character and dedication. He is kind, respectful, knowledgeable, and communicates clearly. He explained the situation, the procedure, and what to expect in a way that made me feel informed and safe. The staff is also very welcoming, patient, and organized, which made the entire experience smoother during a stressful time. I am genuinely grateful for the care I received and would recommend Dr. Chionchio without hesitation.

Folks: it’s Five Stars pretty much down the line. Everybody is incredibly friendly (Hi Grace!) and professional. You are in great hands with Doctor Chionchio (I literally felt no pain- even after the procedure) and his lovely, crack-squad team of pros. And…Bonus! you’re going to get A LOT of credit card reward points if they don’t accept your insurance! 😀

Dr. Nguyen and surgical assistant Carmen were amazing when I had to get two wisdom teeth removed! They were both so calm and kind and helped me feel less nervous. I had 0 complications and Dr. Nguyen called to check in during my recovery. When I came back for my two week follow up, the front desk receptionist even remembered my name. You're in good hands here

Dr. Chionchio is simply the best oral surgeon in so many ways. He is experienced, thorough, and truly cares about his patients. I have always had a great outcome with extractions and dental implants. He's a rock star!!!

Dr. Nguyen was very patient and understanding of my high anxiety. The procedure went well and I feel much better about any future visits.

Had my wisdom teeth taken out a few months ago and everything went super smoothly. Dr. Choi got all 4 teeth out in under 30 minutes, and I barely had any pain afterward. He gave me clear instructions for recovery, and I was back to eating normally in just a few days. Highly recommend
