This was my first visit here after aging out of my parent’s insurance. I had been with my previous dentist for over 15 years, so I value thorough care and consistency. I arrived 20 minutes early but was not seen until 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. The cleaning felt rushed and incomplete. The scraping was minimal, my gums were nicked a couple of times, and my permanent retainer was not cleaned at all which has never happened before in the 13 years I’ve had it. While I appreciated being able to get an appointment the day after calling, the quality of care did not meet my expectations. I will be seeking another provider.

I had a very disappointing experience at this dentist’s office. The customer service was poor, the reception staff was rude and unwelcoming, and I felt completely uncomfortable from the start. On top of that, the dentist attempted to overcharge my insurance and add excessive, unnecessary services to the bill. It felt dishonest and unprofessional. I would not recommend this office to anyone looking for transparent and respectful dental care. I left as quick as I could and went to a different establishment and I’m satisfied with my decision.

I had a very disappointing experience due entirely to the receptionist NATALIE. She was rude, dismissive, and spoke in a disrespectful tone from the moment I arrived. Simple questions were met with attitude, and I was made to feel like an inconvenience rather than a customer. First impressions matter, and this one was terrible. After coming here for over 5 years, it's time to take my business elsewhere. Doesn't make sense why the frontline is not helpful and disrespectful to customers, when we are the ones who keep you with a job, you're not a dentist, you're a receptionist.

I was a patient at this dental office for almost 8 years but the horrible service they’ve given all year is deplorable. I was supposed to get a crown since last November and it has been rescheduled numerous times because of this office’s negligence. There was even a time I took an uber from the Bronx to avoid being late for this procedure, just to get there and the provider cancelled. They told me they left me a voicemail which they hadn’t and when they checked their records they realize they were in the wrong file, so they left a message about my services on someone else’s voicemail. I went there in the spring for the crown and they did a cleaning instead. Today was the last straw! I rescheduled the appointment last month and gave them my new insurance and they never updated the file and waited till I was in the chair to tell me my insurance had to approve it. An insurance I gave them last month to get it approved then. This is the worst dentist in Brooklyn. Literally a waste of the space they take up in that building. The admin staff in unprofessional, unorganized and inefficient.

Please believe me!!! Run away from this place as fast as you can. Don't be deceived by some of the reviews here. This place is a scam, a mess and a dead end. From the front desk to the owner. Their dealings when it comes to payment is done inside of the dentist office not from the front desk. RUN! RUN!! RUN!!! They (dentist like Dr. Scott, and the owner) prey on your condition(s) and pressure you into paying out of pocket immediately. My experience here was very horrible, terrifying that I am still very traumatized from it and I don't need to bore you with that. So my advice if you do go to any dentist: First, before making that appointment ensure the dentist is in network then confirm this with your insurance. Secondly, your first visit should be for consultation only. During that visit ask them to give you your pre authorization treatment plan, then ask them to submit a pre determination cost to your insurance. DO NOT TAKE THEIR BAIT when they tell you blah, blah, blah.. to pay out of pocket immediately that the treatment is not covered by your insurance. Next, call your insurance to do a follow up to see if they received the pre determination cost. Your insurance will review and then send you a letter with what they will cover or pay for the treatment and what your responsibility will be if any. Lastly, when asked to sign on any document (especially one that contains financial signature or for that stupid credit card they offer at the dentist office), please read it and include this applies to this appointment only. Trust me this will save you hundreds, or thousands of dollars from scammers like Canarsie family dentistry. I hope this helps you.
