Two Rivers Dental

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Shane Shafi. I have not taken care of my teeth for three reasons: I hate going to the Dentist, I didn't have the money, and I had a bad experience early in adulthood with dentists who were more interested in sales than what was best for me. Dr. Shane did a deep periodontic cleaning and extracted a couple of teeth for me. While I wish it was painless, it was well done, and he was great. He advised me that I would then need to do one REALLY deep cleaning between the bone and tooth per quadrant which was going to cost me a couple thousand dollars. I didn't take care of my teeth, so in my mind, it was time to pay the piper. However, when I went back for a follow-up from the first procedure, Dr. Shane told me that I didn't need the four follow-up procedures. This is the first time in my life a dentist has "unsold" something to me, and I really appreciated. He is kind, calm, plain spoken, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

This visit was terrible. Dr khan is a good dentist, but the hygienist was terrible. I did report how horrible she was to Mary before leaving. She did offer to have the dentist clean and floss my teeth since the Hygienist did not. But I had already been there over an hour. The hygienist didn’t even give me the to go bag. She spent two mins polishing my teeth and was like all done and left me with all the grit. She did not floss at all. Mary said she was new, but did she not go to school or get training? I have been with two rivers for 5 years and I am done.

Dr Kasar and assistant Amela were amazing! She had so much patience and he showed kindness and knowledge extracting 2 baby teeth for my 12yo. And the price was not too bad considering we don’t have dental insurance. Will be coming back for sure.

Writing this as I’ve been waiting 45 minutes for my appointment. I scheduled my appointment back in July for 3pm today(January), they asked if I could come at 4 and I moved my schedule around to accommodate for them. They then tell me to come in at 330, as I do and it is now 4:15 and I am still waiting to get called back. This is not the first time something like this has happened to me or my family members and it is very frustrating especially seeing other patients getting sent back.

If I could give this office half a star I would. Completely unprofessional office, I have never seen the same staff for more than a year. New manager , new staff in the front! It is crazy. Doctors are ok I’ll give them that. Manager is very rude , the front is very unorganized. Assistant Isiah , the old manager Margret and Lesly were the only good thing about Two Rivers. Really considering pulling my family out of this office if they do not get it together soon and do something about their front staff as soon as possible.

We absolutely love Two Rivers Dental! Dr. Kwame has been amazing, not only is he professional and friendly, but he’s also great with my kids. They actually look forward to their appointments because of how caring he is. Leslie at the front desk is such a gem too. She’s always so warm and welcoming, and she makes everything run smoothly. Truly a wonderful team that makes going to the dentist easy and stress-free!
