Visited for a dental emergency. They were packed. I thought for sure I’d be waiting forever but they were super fast. They moved through that huge line quickly. They got me in fast, took x-rays quickly, and used deductive reasoning to figure out what I needed. I was very appreciative of them. Everyone was incredibly nice, well mannered, positive. They’re definitely a great option if you need help quickly!

I haven’t been to any facilities in a long time that has been so nice and professional!! From the moment of check-in till after checkout time leaving have I had a better experience in several years. I am very impressed with every person we encountered with such a nice and great attitude and it was around 3 when I arrived and just before 5 leaving. The time frame was very good! The worked me in with an office FULL of appointments!! This was nothing I could get at ANY dentist in Tuscaloosa. A+ Rating from me!!! Thank you to the entire office staff and Dentist.

Whitney brown was amazing, from the time I walked In her attitude was polite and friendly and welcoming. She complimented on my outfit and made me feel as though we was friends and I’ve been coming here for years but this was my first visit. She was knowledgeable about the process and informed me on my doctor who was also very nice and kind. They worked with me on payment plans. This dentist is EVERYTHING. And now my new home!

I used their walkin services twice. Once in 2013 and most recently over the 2025/26 holidays. It’s so good to have an emergency dental option in Birmingham. Both of my experiences were great. The staff were friendly and efficient and the office was clean! I saw the owner (Dr Swicord) and he was great. Thanks for providing excellent care during the holidays!

I have been a patient here for several years. I highly recommend this practice for all of your dental needs. The front office is excellent and the dentists and assistants are exemplary. They maintain emergency hours and are very transparent about pricing. I've never been more satisfied with a health-care practice than the good folks here. This is where you need to go.

Great experience! I have a primary dentist but I’ve been going to BDS off and on since I was 18 years old and got my wisdom teeth pulled. I walked into their office today in pain due to a tooth that I am Waiting for a crown currently it has a temporary placed on there. My own dentist made my crown wrong. I was supposed to get the crown a few days ago but now it’s gonna be another week or so before I get it. But in the meanwhile, my own dentist could not determine why my tooth was so sensitive and in so much pain. I had convinced myself that the tooth needed a root canal. I had requested to have an x-ray done and was denied. I was told that that’s how it is sometimes that the teeth respond to the temporary by becoming sensitive. I went along with that. Several days had passed and I was still in pain. That’s when I decided to go to Birmingham dental services and get a second opinion on the tooth. They took an x-ray on and discovered that there was no issues with the work that was done. It seemed that the temporary was slamming down on my bottom teeth and it was going into my bite. So the dentist trimmed that down. Also, there was some cement that was left in between the tooth and that may have been causing the sensitivity so they cleaned In between the tooth and also readjusted the bite on the crown. The dentist numbed me because she did not want me to experience pain while she was adjusting the bite on the temp. Since the numbness has worn off, I feel like a new woman. The tooth is no longer feeling as sensitive virtually almost not sensitive at all. So it seems like whatever they did it worked like a charm. I am so thankful to them for just being a caring sensitive provider who is focused on meeting patients needs. I beginning to think about having a new primary, but we will see how that goes. Michelle P at this site was sooooooo rude and distressful. She was extremely passive aggressive!!!! She threw my forms to me in a very disrespectful way. When I asked her what her name was, she responded, "what you need my name for?" Very disrespectful ugly spirited. I could tell she wanted me to snap on her, but I refused to stoop that low. If this practice has such great reviews am curious as to why she has a very nasty attitude!!! I will be reporting her to management and higher if necessary. Response to Owner: It is what I feel and experience! I hate that my EXPERIENCE with this location was what it was. Hectic or not, basic human respect is warranted when I am receiving services. Please don't make excuses for bad behavior. Do not flip this on me. Take ownership of what my experience was at this site. I am glad that you have five-star reviews, but that does not mean you or your staff cannot be nasty. Very ugly response and staff!!! It is not the first time. Please don't blame the person who was disrespected! Also, thank you for giving me the front desk number. I'm sure I could not reach you at that number. That is the number we make appointments on, but thanks anyway.
